While we started the year well, I dont believe for a second we were playing like a too 4 team. Our attack has been completely horrendous and uncoached for years. We have no idea what wer are doing.
Madden, should be lining up for Ryde Eastwood next week in Sydney Shield. We looked absolutely hopeless in the halves tonight. Latu is a far superior footballer to Madden now and this dumb shit experiment of using Madden has to stop. Only plays when Douhie Luai or Latu is injured.

I think the loss of KPP the first stint and then again after he did his pec has hurt us a lot. Plus Sam Fainu and Royce.
Is Latu a genuine 7? We need one asap!

Our two second rowers in Samuela Fainu and Kai Pearce-Paul were vitally important to our otherwise limited attack and then in conjunction with Taylan May in the couple of games where he was fit and healthy and Luke Laulilli adding valuable metres gained and post contact metres in conjunction with Turuva were large parts of our attacking thrust that gave our halves options and made us a reasonably good attacking team.
Obviously no team can expect to replace their regular starting back rowers and there best strike centre with players of the same quality, but you do need to replace them with players who offer the team some similar attacking threat.
When you have a backline and back rowers that very rarely threaten to make tackle breaks or line breaks and you have a fullback who relies on quality players around him to make an impact on the game, where do we expect our points to come from ?
Like what happened in at least a few of our other losses this season, our middles made good metres and won the forward battle for large portions of the game, but it has to be very disheartening for them when we get so many opportunities in our red zone and very rarely look a genuine chance of scoring tries.
Our last tackle options were again very poor, but when you consider it has been a common occurrence no matter who is playing in our halves, you have to ask the question is this poor play and lack of IQ from our halves, or are they being poorly instructed by our coach ?

We went to Jubilee yesterday with hopes of a win (except the missus, she supports the Dragons). It was disappointing to lose Api towards the end of the game, and likely for the rest of the season. However, the whole team looked really flat from kickoff.
What's even more disappointing is that we were beaten in virtually every statistic by a very average team.

Of course it won’t be that simple .,, probably lack salary cap space to bring in even 6 bottom of the squad level Top 30
Benj will push back on the coaching changes ..: is anyone gunna overrule him ? Shaun or HBG ? HBG might even be happy with the status quo
I’ll wait and see .,, but I doubt there will be a lot of changes in 2027

Sirro, I feel like the team is unsettled. I'm not sure what's going on behind closed doors, and yes, I understand we lack depth when injuries occur, but the the bigger problem appears to be a lack of effort and possibly the psychology of winning consistently.

Turuva was way worse yesterday .. and I’ve been a fan of his .. that must be the worst NRL game he has played
