Luai was the litmus test. The canary in the coal mine. If he had come here. lead us to finals, and stayed the 5 years, it would have been a watershed moment for this club. Instead, he comes here, plays like a busted arse, quits not even halfway through and ha seen the club stumble from drama to drama. What incentive do players like a Cleary have to ever come here? Doesn’t matter how much money we throw at them, it’s just not worth it. The only way forward is to focus on the juniors, keep the best ones, and start making the 8 regularly. That’s the only way the great players will ever consider us again.

Couldn’t see him doing it but possible Richo has offered to return in a Head Of Football role given his relationship with Benji & Shaun.

Only way I imagine it would be Richo can see the pressure that certain interests are putting on Benji and he believes he can come in and support him and finish the job he started .. it it would take a special person to do that but one thing he has proved is that he is a special type of Rugby League administrator

Yes there is that view but he could see this as an opportunity to complete unfinished business & be a kind of FU to HBG at the same time.

Would be a dream to get him in as "director of football". Though not while our board isnt independant. Im devestated we are back to 2002 again. No hope in sight. Journos are saying Douehi is just the start, there are other players coming out of the woodwork in the next few weeks.
