Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Bula is a superstar in the making . He couldn’t even get his arm to 90 degrees most days even with a needle .
You could tell when he couldn’t push through tackles and more dynamic stuff like switching hands ,stepping side for an offload .
If you’re being criticised by vicious there’s a very likely chance that you’re in the right . That guy has no idea . IQ of a sponge
Are you on the drink again big man?

What if the knights have cap problems with Brown & Ponga already there and upgrades needed for a few guys who are exceeding the $ they are currently on .

Smith might be seen as surplus to requirements .
You may be right. That could happen down the track but it won't happen for 27. They've also got Schiller, Mat Arthur and Kepoa in their squad. They'll move them on before Smith. On another note via Barry Toohey looks like Frizell is leaving, so maybe he's signing with the Tigers.

It’s all quite on the western front with AD. Surely if he was going there would have been some news by now. I just don’t see a role for him in our 17. He is not a seven, not a six, not a 13, not a centre and not a back three. Okay he can probably play all those positions but not excel. At some clubs he may be just what they need but for us it’s time to move on
Surely you don't sign a player rehabing from surgery. Let his current club pay for that. Get him after Christmas.

Those guys you mentioned would be minimum wage or close to it. Moving them on does absolutely nothing to help your cap as they need to be replaced.

"Superstar" is a bit of a stretch, he hasn't show any level to the likes of Ponga or Walsh

If he can get to Will Kennedy/Dylan Edwards levels of consistency with his yardage and effort areas then I'll be happy

I do think we have more pressing positional needs in our team than another halfback. However there does seem to be quite a bit of mail going around that this may be the case. If so, the fact that no name has been put forward may point to the possibility that the player in question is playing with one of the remaining 6 teams in the semis.
Deardon would be a dream but I can't see it happening. Not sure of Jack Cogger's contract situation at the Panthers, but he does have some family history with the club.
Blaize Talagi

Flanagan carries angry alcoholic depressive vibes. Can imagine him cranking the Nickleback on his divorced dad rock playlist downing the VB longnecks contemplating on how the world is always against him after whatever mistake he made on that particular day.
He’ll fit in beautifully here then.

SOUTHS HALF ON CUSP OF NEW DEAL

Having edged closer to extending Cody Walker’s contract, South Sydney is on the cusp of keeping Jamie Humphreys at the club on a multi-year deal.

Having rejected a lucrative deal to be part of the Perth Bears’ foundation squad, Humphreys took a risk with no substantial offer on the table.

His patience has paid off with South Sydney putting the finishing touches on a contract to keep him at Heffron Park where they want him to play multiple positions.
