Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Still has got the talent, that’s why he is in a green and gold jersey. When fully fit usually picked first in any team he represents. Lazy grub, it’s all part of his game to get under the skin of his opponents. I would have him in a Wests Tigers jersey if it was a chance of happening and price was right.

Gets up for rep games but in club land he would be a liability

Why did they delete the post ? Was the information incorrect ? Otherwise , the girls are gone anyway so may as well leave it there

Id say the comments.didnt reflect well on the club

That depends on who he is playing I think.
Seen some games he has had a blinder
( Knights this year ) and I’ve seen him have a few shockers as well. Lability about spending money on him I totally agree with going by his injuries the past few years, but I would risk it.

Big gap between mitchells best and worst games

No

I'd rather spend the money on an impact middle

JMK to reconnect with his brother or Manase to play first grade again, which do you think is more likely?

Apols..I DNK who IMK is??
Manese is 50/50 to play NRL,and I say that because he was such a prodigy earlier...but 8 years is a long time out of the game
But like Corey Walker who didnt get going until he was 26,Manese isnt carrying injuries ...
Id rather T and T him and see what happens..and it cld also be a bonding for the family to the club which has intangible benefits
I cant see any downside

Benjis brother

Benjis brother

Thnks JMK is quality but not a game changer ..and 31 next year.
Weve just purchased one of those in Brailey to help see us thru the Api transition..but the real question is to whom Api passes the baton, and when...
Atm,Api >JMK...but maybe not in a years time....so need a longer term solution than JMK to who will then be a 32yo
Seperately,Im not 110% convinced Benji shld be coaching his brother......he has difficulty with making objective fact based decisions with close ties and not so close ties......but that the least of his issues
We need to identify Apis long term replacement next year or so...
And by this time next year we need to know whether Manese or any of the kids is gonna make it..Brailey is a 3rd ranked hooker at Raiders so not any more than an affordable fillin

Reasonably fair comparison probably...

never had faith in kevin. I sometimes have faith in tito

Injury interrupted season but in the majority of his dozen games he was pretty much unstoppable
At 29 could definitely have another 5 years and while I don’t want to revisit 2019 speculation, I’d take him for anything around a million
Anyway it’s so unlikely but I just wanted to say he’s an absolute hell of a player

Nah not true . I’m no expert , but I know bullshit when I see it . More to the point . I know hyperbole , and forum knee jerk , fickle , recency bias when I read it .

Let’s just agree on at least one thing
As you said “you are no expert”

[NewyTiger]

I wasn't impressed with Hayward when he came on to replace Api in the Fiji game. Defended well but very stocky and NO ZIP from Dummy half. I expected more from what has been posted on here.
IMO didn't look like the next best hooker to be anointed for WT. Fingers crossed I got it wrong BUT?
What I did like is the fitness level of Manase Fainu in the photo with Latu. I see ZIP there.
And appears to have some fire in the belly to get it done with his brothers. Fingers crossed there.

Josese Lanyon is playing now against NZ. Looking forward to see him up against a great pack.

Sorry ..I interpreted the post referred to as being a family members post ….not the clubs

You still going ? Is your existence that fragile … ? How many times do you wanna repeat yourself ? I’m right you’re wrong . Deal with it .

crazy, that this is actually true.
He ranks at #24 for season 2026

Phil Sami is grossly underrated on that list.

Turuva isn't a top 20 winger, but he's not on top 20 money. Not sure why he's getting hammered

450k for him is fair imo

Not sure but I'd think 450k probably is top 20 money for a winger.

[gregjm87]

Oh my, relax man, just a different opinion about one of our players.

I'm not going to say a player is playing well just because he is a Wests Tigers player, just my thoughts on Turuva's season.

It was underwhelming.

To be fair to Turuva he massively exceeded my expectations of him when playing at centre early in the season. Overall though I tend to agree he wasnt great. Not sure if underwhelming is the word id use as I've been on the overpaid and overrated opinion since he was signed, so didn't expect much more than he produced. I copped it for labelling him as such early days. Nice to see some others agreeing.

Suspected broken jaw for Api. Horrible end to his RLWC.

[GNR4LIFE]

Going to see more of these guys playing first grade given PVL wants 22 teams.

What a dickhead.

You’ll see a full team of Barry Davis’ and Michael Brabek’s

[BlackWhiteGold]

Looks like Eels are going to sign James Schiller, not us.
