I assume McD's posts on Kahu are a windup considering his other recent posts in other threads.

Seemed like a desperate attempt to get a rumour to catch fire like Tacky's did.

The only incorrect part of this sentence is the word desperate. Why you have to frame it so negative. I thought it looked fun. I am officially going to war with the NRL media and this is the weaponry.

So it was FAKE NEWS….very disappointing...

Hahaha everything is FAKE NEWS.

I did not hear a single rumour about Twal. I think there is lots going on we have no idea about. In the meantime I am hearing strong mail that we have sounded out several rugby guys for a switch. Name I keep hearing is Marika Koroibete. Seems familiar. I assure you this mail is strong. Also murmurs around Taqele Naiyaravoro, Phil Kearns and Curtis Rona.

He's class and probably an upgrade on Whare who we were linked to earlier in the year.

he's also one of 3 players stood down for getting on the turps after the storm game .

is that an issue ? could be . I don't know .

Hiku 6'1 100kgs was great at Manly was a NZ international and played fullback, centre, wing and 5/8\. Injured 2016 and played a few games this year. Would come cheap at this point and is a very good player. Fonua was good for the Storm and Hull player of the year 24 years old 6'0 103kgs powerful runner.

Loved Hiku at manly, hasn't seemed to set the world alight at the pamphers, so maybe a not so sea change would be good.

Wing just had a look was in the super league team if the year and is a much bigger lad 108kgs and looks fit.
Looks like Cleary is forming a pacific islands/NZ team.

Mahe Fonua done deal at WT according to Brent Read on twitter. He's usually pretty accurate.

If this is ligit I can't remember any rumblings about him as a potential signing, which is good.

Good to see us looking a bit left field too through the ESL. There's some quality over there without the hefty price tags

Mahe Fonua linked with NRL return

Former Melbourne Storm winger Mahe Fonua has been linked with a return to the NRL, with the Wests Tigers favourite to sign him.

Fonua played 50 games for Melbourne after making his debut in 2012 before signing with Super League side Hull FC at the end of 2015.

Fonua has been in outstanding form for Hull since making the move, being named in the Super League Dream Team in his first season.

Still under contract with Hull for 2018, there are reports he is looking at making a return to the NRL instead.

A later tweet by journalist Brent Read then suggests its more than a rumour, with the deal already done with the Wests Tigers.
Still just 24-years old, Fonua has also played five representative matches for Tonga.
