I'd take the risk Liddle comes good after a year of first grade. MM is a good backup.

We need another prop and a powerful rep level backrower first. I'm more concerned with Tui as a fullback without any plan B.

Plenty of decent props on the market and I agree signing someone like brenton lawrence or Albert vete would be ideal however the tigers do have 3 pretty well credentialed rookie props on the books for next year as well so maybe Cleary is thinking about blooding them.

As for back up fullback Tyson gamble can cover that position if required though I wouldn't be surprised to see him usurp Luke brooks at some point next year too.

SG we have signed most of the targets we were linked to. Do you know who the club is looking at we are rumoured to be looking at Lawrence, Rona, Watson, Vete, Gordon.

Posted during the week that the info (while not an internal source) on Rona is that he is a done deal to tigers if force fold. Vete was offered a contract a while ago but he looks set to stay in NZ now or head to GC. Tigers approached Watson when Moses stuff went down. Was shut down by roosters management they won't release him early. Haven't heard anything on Gordon

I'm pretty sure we're not chasing Vete anymore because we have a host of rookie forwards that Cleary wants to develop. Twal and Felise are going to be our bench props as Cleary signed Twal to develop him. The Gordon to Tigers thing is a lie. MMM posted that but most of their rumours are fake. However, I think the Tigers are still gunning to get Watson. Even Watson confirmed that the Tigers have contacted the Roosters about a possible release to us. But the roosters denied the offer and wont let him go. However, I think the Tigers might have a good shot at getting him because we can offer him a starting role at fullback (if tui doesn't perform).
 
The thing I can respect about packer is that he actually did hard time, and seems to have genuinely turned his life around.
I'd prefer that to some punk who has got himself into trouble, been given a slap on the wrist, an learnt nothing.

He's a machine I'd get rid of Nofa to bring him back.
We have signed Nofa, Rona, Fonua, Thompson that should be it for wingers.

Marin is big enough to play FG centre for Wests Tigers. He would also be a very good investment as a utility filling other positions such as 1/2, 5/8 and hooker when the situation arises.
