3 year 1 million a year deal at easts, so they will have 3 possibly 4 with Cordner on 1 million deals in 2019

How can they have 4 million dollar players and we have none but they have more cap room than us?

Pretty obvious to everyone now it's TPAs? The base salaries are probably modest, with a large external top-up from TPAs that are somehow consistently allied with the Roosters players but still somehow at arm's length from the club.

This is a salary cap breach in black and white!

Todd Greenberg/NRL Comission fix this ugly corrupt business of or you’ll have no fans left to to sell it to!!!

Yeah but there's a limit on how much TPA's can be right? As a proportion of the cap?

I'm probably in the minority, but the whole bus thing does my head in. As Cleary said, it was a throwaway line. The extent to which it's taken off is way ott imo.

X2

It's bordering on cringeworthy .

No seatbelt on your seat …...

Not a double decker ........

Who is Crichton's manager? One of those still under investigation for illegal deals at Melbourne and Parramatta.
Hell will freeze over before the NRL do anything proactive around cheating the cap.
Next club caught should be forced to pay the players full value, while they are stood down from playing for the length of the contract

I hate Souths but this will be a big psychological blow to them.

Regarding Roosters - It all stinks - but I don’t think they are building an unbeatable team.

Solid yes, but guaranteed success - I’m not convinced. For example, Cronk without Smith/Slater is pretty much untested.

Crichton has had one decent season (not disputing he’s a good player).

Acccording to that article, Sue is keen to stay, so those rumours were wrong, or he is lying

Tedesco was keen on staying too.

I never heard Tedesco say I want to stay and be a 1 club player though.

There were articles posted around January of him being quoted as saying he hoped he could work something out with us.

Of course, you always need a Plan B.

My drum is that Cordner’s knees are absolutely shot. He’ll be lucky to get through 2018, and may retire/be moved on/scaled down in 2019.

Crichton is his replacement.

Cordner is talking up getting a new deal done, is he towing the easts line, or is he gonna end up like Pearce, thanks for 10 years see you later.

Cant see cordner fading into the shadows. You don't give up nsw captaincy easy or the impending kangaroos one aswell. Say it was just a selling point on contract to make him feel important to their needs

I don't get this talk about codner he looked great in the world cup a few week back.

What is going on with the Salary cap is WRONG.

It is so un-Australian that it makes me sick

The other clubs should band together and stand up to the NRL. Fans should boycott any game (TV and Attendance) that the Roosters play in.

I have a negative physical reaction when I see the NRL brand.

Disgusted. I am disgusted.

No need to worry about fans boycotting games that Roosters play in. Their lack of fans already make up for it.

Hang on apart from Warriors all the teams are Australian…. and the warriors would still run last no matter how many brown paper bags they hand out

Yes at arms length from the club, but somehow never follow the players when they leave. One of lifes great mysteries
