Wonder who will pick him up surely he wont stay in reserve grade

Buying this overweight non performer on a huge salary would undermine everything IC is building at our club. When you compare his input and salary in ISP against that of Garner and Sironen, where is the value?

If we've learnt anything, paying out huge contracts to players who do not perform or are not committed to the long term future of the club causes disharmony, non performance and salary cap issues.

I'll wait cause I know you got it from Pascoe himself and you only deal with facts.

I would sign Papalii in a heart beat and I would trust the coach to pay him what he is worth and not massive overs .. I see the reasoning to up date Garner for example but a fit and focused Papalii is a game changer but I can not see this happening.

I agree, the guy has talent and is the type of forward we don't have - wrecking ball. He's played a bunch of Origins. Question mark on his off-field mentality / commitment, which the coach can work out, but I'd have no issues signing him if they thought the fit was right.

Personally however I think this is just a kick up the bum from the Raiders and they have no intention of losing him.

We'll run out of room with all these game changers soon…

P.S..for the coin and attitude Josh Aloiai>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>some daylight>>>>>>>>Papalii

Don't think Papalii is a good idea at all. One way to destroy team culture is to get a big signing that isn't performing to their pay packet.

If this season has taught us anything it's that you don't need a team of world beaters to achieve success.

Good point…I also heard Kent on 360 that Cleary wont pay overs for any player and is a good judge of what they are worth ..if they want more than he is prepared to offer he simply moves on...

Papalii would want a fair chunk of cash I'd imagine..

Would prefer to see us keep developing Josh Aloiai for that impact role more than likely at a fraction of the cost..

Good Point on Papali in terms of $$$ however, I think the recruitment drive of last season is yet to be confirmed If successful.

Yes - We are on the crest of a wave at present and I am loving it.. Year 2 and 3 of some of these signings will be the true judgment of whether we Tigers paid overs

Would take Papalli in a heartbeat, imagine him playing off the back of Packer and Mats!

He’s an origin player and for QLD which is a lot harder to break into a team who went like 8 series in a row so shows you how good he is.

Can’t see it happening but for good value of $, I’d take him for sure

Papalii would be a great impact player, sub him on around the 30 minute mark and the 60 minute mark.

Devastating ball runner when he is in form. However if everyone in the Tigers is fit who do you drop to fit him into our current pack.
On the bench we have MCK playing a high energy role off the bench, along with Aloiai, and Twal. Plus a utility.
If we where paying big money for a forward , i'd go for someone different. If Canberra were just trying to offload him and pay his wage. That's a different story
