Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Despite Thomspon doing really well i think we could do with a class outside back as our next big signing.

preferable a fullback.

I was thinking…. Mansour is asking for 500/600K.... We could offer 400k, maybe a little more with this idea:
Penrith if they want to keep him now need to pay 450k.

The more Penrith spend on Mansour.... The less they have for N Cleary!

We need a good back. We def need to improve our defense at the back wing or else the grit our forwards put it does not matter. .... I suspect DWZ could also be an interesting idea, as MWZ is doing alright here.

How many places in the top 30 do we need to fill and is there a date when all positions need to be filled by.

I keep hearing 27 spots have been filled. Milne freed up a spot.

Maybe Garner and Drinkwater will be offered a contract?

We need to fill 3 positions by June 30.

He's been going alright this season but in the past Maumalo has had hands like feet.

Yah, Maumalo has been shocking in the past.

What's the story with Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad? Lots of hype around him when he debuted, but doesn't seem like there's room for him in first grade at the Warriors. No idea how he's going form wise, but he looked like he had plenty of natural ability when he has played firsts.

Could be looked at as a long-term fullback.

My bucket list is a big hard running forward a strong and fast center and fullback for next season this is not to much to ask.

That would be the remake. In the original the role played by Charnze was played by a bloke named Tui

we must be front loading a lot of contracts this year- this squat is no where close to $9M i'd say

OK, so someone explain to me what happens if a player leaves after a front loaded contract?

Does that mean they can say "well tigers front loaded me with 500K this season. Next season is 80K…. But Panthers will offer me 300K if I sign now for next season?"

We all know contracts can be broken. Just hoping front loaded players will show some loyalty.

Drinkwater released to ESL. That will screw up our ISP side big time. Might make Gamble take on the lead role though.

This guy just doesn't seem to know what he wants to do. Players here for a year, goes to ESL for a year, comes back for 3 months, goes back to ESL for 9 months

and he is most likely returning

You wouldn't think the club would agree to upgrade them unless the player agrred to extend.

Even though as you said contracts don't mean much these days

I have been pretty comfortable since the start of this season's rounds in thinking that we had good depth in our squad. Now, after recent repeated injuries to key players (especially injuries that are over 4 weeks in duration), I am not so sure.
Imagine if we had a major injury right now to any of our back 3, or one of our halves - sure there is Tui (who also is carrying a niggle), but in my view Tui is way off his best, or Fonua, maybe he could do a job. What about if another one of our best forwards was lost to injury? I think we would certainly notice a drop in quality if any of this happened.
In my mind this makes the filling of our maximum 30 man squad a priority, especially in the outside backs.

Where is the signing was coming that ink was telling us about

I believe it was entirely a sarcastic comment and not a real signing.

What the is going on….next week ? 😕

Where there’s no ‘smoke’ there’s no fire - yes, looking at you SG

It’s been 2 months, any chance we can move on?

Drinkwater being released what does that do for our roster this year?Clearing space for a new arrival ????×==

Only in NSW cup he wasnt in the top 39\. Id say it was more a case of opportunity for Drinkwater then it was us moving him along especially since we required first abd last rights to get him back

He wants to play top grade, but pretty sure his last SL club was relegated and thus he returned this season.

It may be time for the club to seriously look at filling couple of vacant spots particularly if we have another loss this week.

Our depth is slowly being tested and it will only get worse as this season rolls on.
