Also apparently Brian Kelly was a very good goal kicker in U20s and kicked for U20s 2016 NSW team which there is a video of him kicking 6/6.

He is a cousin of James Roberts.

So is James Kelly part Aboriginal then?

Kelly wouldn't be a bad signing. As for fullback, a big no to Bevan French - he's rubbish. Can't see Holmes leaving Cronulla and Mbye…maybe.

I would be devastated if we signed French or Holmes. Both are great wingers but neither have the necessary ball skills or vision to be elite fullbacks in the modern game. The problem is that to pry either away from their respective clubs you'd be paying elite fullback money. Big no.

Brian Kelly on the other hand is an absolute gun. Runs good lines on outballs and has some very handy footwork. I rate him quite highly.

At this point in the game if Cleary was to sign either of those guys to actually play fullback id trust his judgement.

A guy like Val Holmes for instance is class levels above Brian Kelly so im sure he could adapt to whatever it is Cleary would ask of him.

If this video is all we have to go on it isnt much. He shows some good speed and importantly an ability to move laterally at top speed. He also shows a fair bit of heads up play being in the right spots at the right times. But thats about it. His youth and potential are his biggest assets.

We need centre depth so i guess its a possibility.

Kelly has the potential to be better than the guys we have but is currently no better. Good signing for depth and especially so if we do lose Naiqaima.

If I was putting money on it I’d bet we don’t sign Rona and we don’t lose Kev this year. Some of my favourite BS rumours though.
