Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Broncos are hard to prise…

Apparently Souths had Su'A all but signed, then something in their arrangement fell through.

Broncos will always have an advantage negotiating with QLD-raised kids.

Another one gone, Bronco's re-sign Su'a

They're re-signing everyone but Pangai Jr who is already the best of the lot of them! Maybe they won't be able to fit him in and will have off load him! Oh wait…..that's right, it's the Broncos 😔

I would rather have a proven forward in Matterson then aa unproven one on Oates.

I would love to have Oats here, but as a winger. He is just what we need (and what we haven't had for ages) on the end of the backline.

As for Matterson, he's more of what we already have, imo. Same as Ethan Lowe. We need to be targeting second rowers with impact - Taukeiaho or Tapau are the type of players we should be chasing.

He's really not. He's about 6'4" and 105+kg. He's a threat in the air. He has ball playing skills as an ex half. He has pace and can break the line. He's got a massive work rate and a tackle efficiency for the season of over 96%. He's only 23\. He would be an excellent signing as our RHS 2nd rower (the side he has been playing on this season).

Ok you've convinced me. Didn't realise he was that big. Admittedly I haven't seen a lot of him playing, but what I have seen didn't impress me all that much. Perhaps the Roosters aren't using him to full advantage.

Drongos will sign him and have enough left over to sign whoever comes on the market just like the rorters

Matterson is much bigger than any of our current back rowers. He also had a ridiculous try scoring record until he got a few injuries. Scored 5 tries in the first 8 rounds this season, or something similar to that.

Roosters won't cut Aubusson. He's their Mr Fixit and their longest serving current player and will bring up his 300th game for them in 2 years time.

Hearing Matterson is a good chance not to be at the Roosters next year. Couple of clubs chasing him apparently.

Would be a good pick up. Quality young forward imo

I like Materson but I’d much prefer an aggressive ball runner type second rower

TPJ is a gun and should be targeted!

Bloody oath Nelson. Matterson would be a great buy, Lowe aswell.
Our backrowers just dont cut it.

You’re not including Lawrence in that statement I hope??

Can we just install a policy to only sign players under 25.

Cant see the sense in these Aubusson type rumours and signings.

Recruit players before their prime!

I'd imagine Cleary is looking at everyone thats available but you can't negotiate with someone who isn't interested in joining the club

Flashbacks to Sironen, does he get his hands dirty?

From the few games I have watched with Matterson, he seems to be willing to get in and mix it. Anyway, it's all hypothetical at present.

Lowe? He's bog average, I'd rather both Lawrence and Chee Kam over Lowe any day.

Brett Morris signs for 2 years with the Rorters..which is good..cause we don't need him
