Yes Gibbs has left & the other 3 will be in top 30 for 2019.

If these 3 are too 30 next year. How many spots to fill in the top 30 roster i lost count…. 4 or so?

Someone mentioned the deal with the development players was they had to stay just that for minimum 2 years in order for the club / cap? to get the development discount.
What happens there with us promoting them to top squad next year???

Haven’t heard that at all. I know a minimum contract for development players must be 3 years with the 1st year being they can’t play 1st grade after that I believe it’s up to the club to leave as is or promote. Development players can only stay as development for the for maximum 2 years.

We have 6 spots to fill for 2019 roster.

It was mentioned on here, around the time Gibbs was mentioned leaving.
I understood it the way you’ve explained it also.

This is the info I read on development players, not definitive as it came from the web, but for what it's worth:

"- The $200,000 veteran/development player sum can be spent on either a veteran who has spent eight or more seasons at the club or a development player contracted to his current club for two or more continuous years before they are handed their first NRL contract. The development player is only eligible for the payout up to the age of 22.

- Every club is allowed three to six development players outside the top 30 NRL squad with a price of $60,000 per player."

If we are utilising this veteran allowance for Chris Lawrence now, he would be costing us only $100,000 a year on the cap. Wow.

I'm thinking our attack is so dismal because out of dummy half it's been rubbish all year. Robbie is taking it upon himself now to try and fix it, and we badly needed someone so thanks Robbie, but I think Liddle's style is more what we need next year. Fast service, keeping the defense on the back foot, giving our halves Brooksy and ??? time to plot and plan.

If Liddle can't step up for the full 80, get Seggy, and give him licence to thrill. Him and Liddle hopefully can up the tempo and we can continue improving our attack.
