Pretty much the way I see it to.

Well in Farah's defence he's only had 4 games influence and two of those were good wins, 2 ordinary losses.

Benji has played in all of our wins and 7 of our losses - i.e. we've lost the 3 games where he didn't play. So Benji himself is 50% wins.

I don't think it's specifically related to them and their age.

You're right, they certainly didn't lose us those games.
But I also question whether at this point they can win us games either.

Coach Cleary will sort it, and though he might say to the media that it is up to the players, I suspect he has already planned out how it will be and he is just saying what sounds good to the press whilst sorting it how he wants behind the scenes.

I can't see how anyone can blame Farah and/or Marshall for the Tigers current position on the table. As for them not being able to win us games either, I think Benji had a pretty big hand in the wins we earned early in the season as well as when he came back from injury, as did Farah in the couple we won since he re-joined.
NRL games, like just about every team sport, are won on effort, hunger and desire to win from the team, as much as they are on the players. Exactly why we beat top 4 teams with far better rosters than ours, and why we have lost against teams perceived to be of lesser quality.

I don't blame them at all, and I'm glad they are here with us for this year. I question another full year, is all.

I suspect there is quite a bit of consideration and thought going into the decisions of whether either will play in 2019, not only from themselves, but also certainly from Ivan and the club as well. I think a lot will depend on recruitment of other players, cap availability and spots in the 30, development of Liddle and Reynolds injury status, whether they truly believe they can contribute.
To date Ivan has said the right things regarding them - they will be seen to have made the choice when the time comes. Both of them will play a role in the future of the club somewhere in coaching or whatever, even if they don't play on.

Go get Marty!!!

8, Russell Packer
10\. Ben Matulino
13\. Marty Taupua

Now go get Procter and Harris and you've got the NZ forward pack…...

Ivan wants Benji and Farah. That will do me.
They are good backups at worst. They will take base contracts it’s a win win.

We won’t be making finals with them as our starters though. They will struggle for a full season but can come in and win games.

Benji and Farah are fantastic back ups to have especially when you've got injury prone Reynolds and a kid who's still finding his feet in 1st grade (Liddle)

If and it's a big if Cleary comes next year it changes things up a lot though.

We could sign Segeyaro to a 3 or 4 year deal. Farah will give us 1 more at best. Seems strange Cleary wants Farah. Another poster talked about Segeyaro’s character - maybe this is on the money

Have a little faith in Liddle, it seems he is Ivans man.

I do have faith in Liddle. He is our 9 moving forward. But he needs support and I think Segeyaro is a better longer term support than Farah

'

You cant have faith in Liddle and sign Segeyaro to 3 or 4 years. Liddle would have to be a bum to put up with that.

Like i said i think Ivan sees Liddle owning the 9 very soon, no need for Segeyaro.

I hope that this is the case.

If Farah and Benji take up spots 25 and 26 with the 3 development players also taking up spots that only leave 4 spots to bolster the squad…

I don't think that's enough...Garner looks to have made the most of his opportunity so that helps...but outside backs and impact off the bench is still way too light..

I think Benji is just about done...Farah I think will be looking to go around again but if he doesn't another hooker needs to be found...

It's a juggling act..

Personally I think benji looks done both physically and mentally. I can definitely see Robbie going another year but can't see Benji doing so. I could be totally wrong ofc. Like you've mentioned they'll be good backups if indeed they do both go again.

I totally agree, Robbie is a must next year, he is a champ and a must for Liddlr’s development, I can’t see Benji next year and I don’t think we’ll need him. We’ll have Brooks, Reynolds and maybe Cleary.
Grab Marty Tapou and another meat axe forward so these halves have more decision time, then bring in a speed machine to feed off Matsters in the centres.

He would be a great addition to our pack. They guy is a little weird, but that's ok, he is aggressive and makes huge metres. However, is there any realistic chance of him coming back here? Is Ivan even looking at him? My feeling is that if he does move on from Manly it would be to one of the stronger clubs.

Rorters still have a spare 2.2 million - no probs.

Oh no doubt! I was thinking more the Sharks tho - they might actually need a forward or two with some of theirs retiring at season's end.
