How do they do it? The Eels are buying everyone it seems, and it wasn't so long ago the Dogs were in so much salary cap strife they were dumping players left, right and centre!!

Because they have dumped players left, right and centre. Unfortunately we can't even pay someone to pick up our rubbish - at least there was some sort of market for Mbye, Woods and Klemmer.

Yeah and we were the stooges who picked up Mbye!

As far as shaping the roster over the next season or two, I’d be going hard for Papenhuyzen, his speed and acceleration is just the tonic for mine in beginning to address the Tigers lack of speed - he’d be a weapon across the park at fullback and would change the team dynamic in attack for the better. He’s on peanuts and off contract end of 2020 at the Storm and is currently behind Hughes who is also in need of a contract upgrade. Bellyache is trying to include him in the top 17 but he’s been playing him in the middle-third at the back end of games, which is a waste of his talents. He looks ready to become a regular NRL fullback and the Tigers are in need of a long term solution in that position.

That type of player sadly will never want to join a struggling club like ours. They all want to do a teddy and join a club that is real premiership threat every year...aka Roosters, Storm, Broncos....

The NRL has to seriously look at how these big named clubs fit all these star players in their cap....They should scrap TPA's and have a marquee player rule where a club can only have 2 marquee players where they can pay whatever salary is required to keep them.

I doubt he will make the 53 but he has a guaranteed spot on their practice squad that doesn't count towards their practice squad numbers so if he is taking this seriously he will not be back until at least August next year!

He will go to the roosters on a 250k (cap) deal and improve his golfing game.The NRL will say its all legit and they run a "fair" competition

@tigerap Unfortunately when fans speak up about this it is classed as whinging and your club needs to fix there own backyard.. JOKE .. I been saying this for a long time now and the TPA need to go or be capped and the NRL should be the ones paying the players. We are the clubs that develops the players and when they become stars the big clubs pop up and show them how good it is winning premierships and getting brown paper bags, Free rent, free memberships to top sports clubs like Golf etc.. even after you stop playing they are looked after.. And to top it off when we offer a legend of the club an after playing career job we get punished and suffer on our salary cap - A punishment higher than clubs that actually cheat on the cap and try and hide it from the NRL..... E.g. Eels ..
Sorry Rant over but when your club has one of the best crowds, memberships numbers in Sydney but have not made the finals sense 2010 it is hard to swallow..
