There were a few interested onlookers at the Dally M awards last night during the post-event function at the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney.

It's already well known Wests Tigers coach Michael Maguire recently met with Dragons back Zac Lomax about the potential of joining the club.

The pair were again spotted in conversation on Wednesday night.

Is he John Lomax's son? If so, Madge is probably just recruiting him for NZ.

(He is under contract, so Madge would not be allowed to talk to him re joining us anyway)

@TopTiger Madge had stated that he only met Lomax for coffee to discuss the upcoming New Zealand test. I can't see any anything dramatic about that meeting or last night's meeting. Rumpurs, rumour this thread had a thousand, very , very few which come to fruition.

Maguire was recently spotted sharing a meal with promising Dragons centre Zac Lomax but said the meeting was a friendly conversation and not a recruitment pitch.

"I was at dinner and he was there at the time out having dinner. But at the end of the day I talk to all players. I'm very fortunate that being in the Kiwis [coaching] space I get to talk to many players across the comp," he said.

@innsaneink How long does the drug tests take to find the results? He was tested on the 3rd September, then played in Round 25 on 7th September, then in the Qualifying Final on 15th September. Interesting that he was then deemed to have been positive well after that.

I don't think he's signed for next year either. Plus he signed with Brisbane in May this year, then was done for drink driving a few weeks after. My guess, he's done.
