Funny thing with those younger halves, we have one on a development contract soon to fill one of the top 30 spots. It isn’t Burey who has looked better than Madden in most games I have seen.

Was told by someone associated with Dragons that Aitken has been given permission to negotiate with other clubs. Id take him in a heartbeat. more heart than Marsters and just as dangerous.

Players like him, Will Chambers and Brimson are the type worth looking at.

We dont need anyone who cant add to our culture.

Others to consider might be Sia Soliola and Angus Crichton or Jai Arrow who we may be able to force an early release with. Arrow where there is smoke there is fire and the other two could be secured with a bit of negotiation.

These nuff nuffs like Hastings will not improve a damn thing.

I'm a big fan of players who incrementally improve as they rise in grade. Burey has done this and he reminds me of Mick Neill in that he is one of those very busy halves who does the things he team needs without fuss. Someone might be able to confirm he is from Junee?

If we can offload Packer, Mats and McQueen, personally i would go all out and get Luke Thompson from St Helens (i think comes off contract next year). Only young but very highly rated and someone you can build the club around and fits perfectly with what the coach is looking for. Scott Sorenson is another who fits what we are after and would be a great addition to our backrow.

How do people feel about Jackson Hastings? A good aggressive player with some mongrel ( which we need) has just won Super Leagues Man of Steele...Could be just the mix we need in the halves with Brooksie.

We love him up here in Gladstone ....he put us on the map
