Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Brad Takairangi, David Gower, Ray Stone, Marata Niukore and Andrew Davey were all locked in for the 2020 season as the club unveiled their full squad on Monday.

Dylan Brown, Nathan Brown, Reed Mahoney and Shaun Lane are all off contract at the end of next season and, now the November 1 deadline has passed, are open to offers from rival clubs.

The Eels are content with discussions they have had with the quartet prior to their off-season break and have made their retention a priority.

Sydney Roosters, meanwhile, have set their sights on retaining stars Jake Friend and Jared Waerea-Hargreaves.

There has not been a flood of clubs rushing through the door to chase the star pair but the back-to-back premiers are eager to keep their co-captain and one of their spiritual leaders at the club beyond the end of next season.

Ill take brown and pass on lengthy bun chicken

@TheDaBoss
Parras situation will be interesting if they pick up The Dummy Spitter either of the Browns or Shaun Lane and even Reed Mahoney would be a good get for Wests Tigers

Character aside, what would Tetevano cost? Would adding him AND Brown to our pack be an improvement?

They are the type of players we need mongrel, no nonsense forwards.

Potentially many female (and some male) members or supporters and their children for a start. WT should also ditch the pink jersey and all womens promotions as well, as our credibility would be gone.

I don't care how good a player is, if he attacks women, particularly one that loves him and more than once, he is not welcome at my team.

@avocadoontoast any worse than packer, lodge and quite a few players with criminal convictions?
He comes from a team with a winners mentality and won't cost the earth. Would he improve the team?
If so, sign him.

@formerguest we live in a society that reforms and rehabilitates offenders. If he hasn't stepped across the line since, then he deserves a second chance. Packer was the same. Did we lose any sponsorship signing him? If he improves the team, sign him up.

@Pyjamaztehboss yeah na you bash and isolate a vulnerable woman you dont get a 2nd chance mate dude is an oxygen thief

@hodgo I don't know the specifics in his case but if he has been punished and is not a serial offender then....?

Sure, I agree with the principle and Packer has truly reformed, but not with repeatedly violent and psychological offenders, which Tetevano is, is he not?

Regardless of what he has done, would he improve the team? I haven't watched him play tbh. If not, then jog on. There's other players.

Out of the recent crop of names that have been thrown around as possible signings, what do people think they’re actually worth on current form or potential?

Latrell Mitchell ($650-$750k)
Zac Lomax ($300-$350k)
JWH ($450-$500k)
Jai Arrow ($600-$650k)
Tyson Frizell ($650k)
Luciano Leilua ($250k)
AJ Brimson ($400-$450k)
Nathan Brown ($300-$350k)
Matt Moylan ($350k)
Anthony Milford ($400k)
Zane Tetevano ($0 - wife bashing loser)

@formerguest if he is a repeat offender then I agree with you. It's not a question of morality, I'm thinking of bettering our 9th place.

@Spacecub all good mate . Just pointing out that a few other things my client said at the same time came to fruition quite quickly. Unfortunately things still remain quiet re the WTF signing

And that is a good thing Wounded ....nice getting some info but having our plans spread out like a Penthouse centrefold for all to see and possibly plan against to stop our plans isn't great

But we do appreciate the feedback and it is nice to have someone putting the truth on track when rumours circle the planet at a million miles an hour

If he is guilty of such crimes, how is he playing for the Premiers then?

How were another third of his teammates playing for them, when supposedly little in the way of TPA's, is the biggest question.
