Thanks to Pascoe's decision Wests Tigers will play slightly less of 50% of there home matches at Bankwest stadium. We play Parramatta twice at this ground, one game being a Wests tigers home match the other a Parramatta home match. I don't know what Pascoe's original rugby league culture was but I would be very surprised if it was Wests tigers related. Wests Tigers have never had a culture/supporter group in the Parramatta area and most Wests Tigers fans feel Bankwest provides a hostile rather than a home environment.

however Wests Tigers administration seem quite happy to sacrifice Wests Tigers culture and fans for the sake of dollars.

And fobs the question about it off by saying it doesn't matter where we play.

I hate playing home games at Bankwest - not a feeling shared by all I know - but can Pascoe be attributed blame/responsibility for that alone? Sure he is often the face of the club, but surely that is a decision made by, and supported by the board.

Possibly, but if they are gonna have these Q and A sessions they could respect the questions asked and explain their thinking. Not treat us as mugs.
And for the record I believe the board are just as bad as Pascoe in running the club.

Not an easy job @gallagher. Can see by all the differing views by supporters on the forum. All follow the one club but rarely in agreeance on anything.

True, but 3 home grounds? That's just decision making fearful of backlash from fans.

Justin Pascoe is the Scott Morrison of the NRL. Out of touch, out of his depth and goes to Hawaii when he should be working.

The Australian government must be prepared to listen to its people as should an NRL club listen to it's supporters especially with regards to home matches which are not really home matches.

We need the fans to turn up at these grounds to make them fortresses. It' not the case with Bankwest.

Please give further knowledge on the culture of the Weststigers !There will never be a culture until the club has a home and playing out of ONE ground where ever that might be !..the dream time culture that is conjured up by many is a MYTH .. playing out of 6 home grounds is the culture of madness!

This is the bloody Signing and Suggestions thread, go over to the Lament thread with the chit chat about old players.

Yep ..... I’m really struggling with how this thread is progressing.
Perhaps it should be retitled and split into “Signing Suggestions and follow up whinge discussions“ AND “Rumoured signings”.
I then would stick to the latter and not continually waist my time trying to find something of substance.

Interesting how we can read pages of dribble on players who the club has had no interest in but that apparently is substance worthy of entry and reading on this thread. When discussion turns to a subject related to former juniors, its "I waist my time tyring to find something of substance". Well here is a fact, there is nothing of substance in this thread.

Perhaps all this so-called signings news and your whinging can be move to a "dribble thread".

I don't get why you are annoyed, this is literally the "suggestions" and "rumour" thread. By title, it's intended to be speculative, insubstantial, guesswork, left-field. It was created to house all the ideas about potential future players.

Real and confirmed signings get their own thread at the time they become real and confirmed.

There is another intentional thread for discussing players who have left Tigers, including former juniors:
https://weststigersforum.com/topic/30065/the-wests-tigers-lament-thread

Not too hard for everyone I don't think? Stuff about unconfirmed future players is in this thread right here, stuff about old players goes in the Lament thread.

If you want to read real stuff of real substance, confirmed by the club, become a member or subscribe to the WT official website, Facebook or some such, and you'll hear only the legit and substantial stuff.

But Lament and Suggestions/Rumour - expect 95% dribble.

People are just exasperated by what is happening in my opinion

Finally realizing that our club isn't the attractive option many thought we might have become is hurting many

But reality is this the market is very dry and I'm really concerned about a comment I made about 4 weeks ago that at the time was tongue in cheek

What happens if we literally can't spend our cap in 2020 ...you can't frontload contracts if players don't want to come

Who are these people who thought it was attractive.....Wests have always been built on unfashionable players who play their guts out for the jerseys.. it’s why the Ben T’eo’s and Slmey farts are despised

It why the Fitzy’s Hodgo’s Skando’s and Gelea’s are loved..

It’s why Twal’s Garner’s and Mikaele’s will do well..cause the believe

Many believed we had turned the corner with Madge and the COE ...and know are seeing that it isn't that easy

Players won't come until they see results ...real results on the footy paddock

Ideally the situation where we are the one club with money trying to sign a big player should have come in a couple of years time, after we had got some results and people could undeniably see we are moving upwards. Timing was off, is all.

God you know we are not that bad! I’m sick of all this BS about us not being an attractive option.

Im with you Spud. For each post "Noone will come here becuase we arent pretty enough" consider say Brisbane...no big signings and still cannot close out the Fifita signing. Mitchell hasnt gone anywhere. There are many clubs without big name signings in fact I dont think there have been any "big name signings"

Scott, Ramien, Holmes, Matterson,Campbell-Gillard and Arrow probably the bigger names. I think it's more that we havnt landed a few big names in what seems like years. Frustration builds over time.

Hard to have a plan for the future @gallagher when you are relying on government owned and operated facilities in Sydney. They have a track record of changing plans, and not starting or completing things on time, without any
consideration or compensation to those it impacts. The Eels are in an enviable position but the Roosters Bulldogs South's and us will all be sharing grounds for a while yet with no guarantees until both stadiums are up and operational.

This is just an interim arrangement for them. You can't possibly blame the govt for our situation, we've chosen 3 venues since 2003.
ts a total guess where we will end up.

Brisbane did resign all the players they wanted TPJ, Lodge, Oates, Glenn, and they will retain Fifita, his efforts in Fiji will make sure of that. Maybe Su'a is the one exception. They dont need to sign from outside except maybe in the halves where they did get Croft.

I believed in Cleary, Taylor, Potter, and now with Madge I do believe but am no longer optimistic. Good on you for still being optimistic, I wish I was, but im not, and I think fair enough.
