I really think that we need to move another couple of current players on to create some space on our top 30 rester.
McQueen, McIntyre, Smith and Taylor would be my weak links in the current squad.

The problem is who would take them?

McQueen has a UK passport and thus is eligible to play as a local....in their below par league.

And still he won't leave.

400 000 a year to basically keep fit with us and play some park level state cup.

Worst deal ever...for a bloke who was already broken down. 1.2 million for his pension basically.

Taylor / Cleary can go rot.

And, he has / had received an ESL club offer.

Aj article in the paper saying he isn’t going anywhere could all be nonsense but you just never know there days

You need to understand the language spoken at the bunnies. When a player says he’s staying, that means he’s going.

Lol it’s pretty much like that at every club.

I like your Mail, so 28 Simpkin 29 JAC 30 Stefano can live that .

According to Justin Pascoe, we need only 2 signings before end of March. On 28/11 we dropped off Mitchell to focus on JAC.
Considering that JAC & AJ are those 2. IMO.

I'm no AJ fan, but they would seem to be the best 2 possibly available and willing to come, don't they?

AJ on his own...meh, JAC on his own...cool, AJ and JAC together...now you’re talking! ? Bring it on!

How does Dylan smith go? Any chance he will be our fullback?

Not even up to CC standard...will be a star in the Ron Massie Cup

AJ has stated he is going nowhere in 2020...staying with Souths

That's the smart card to play. It means that when he does go that the club forced him to leave and doesn't get the souths fans offside. Makes the club look like jerks.
If he comes out and says he wants to go but doesn't he'll get belted.

Wasn't there a story doing the rounds a few weeks ago where Wayne Bennett pulled him aside and said they wouldn't be renewing his contract and he probably should start looking elsewhere? I think AJ was quoted in the story saying more or less he understood the situation and that was football. Doesn't necessarily mean he is signing with the Tigers but obviously he'd be looking for a better offer than the punt.

Reports Te Maire Martin retiring because of a brain bleed suffered early last year.

Poor bastard. So young & one hell of a talent -
I hope the Cowboys have a job lined up

Yes and let it be kept in our minds that not every player the Tigers "let go" ends up having a superstar career.

Because I get tired of some narratives where every player that leaves Tigers becomes a star somewhere, forgetting all the Te Maire Martins out there.

TMM is basically a prototype Papenhuyzen, same deal behind established footballers, small and fast, loads of talent.

We all realise footballers are one injury away from the end of their career.

Linking this to players we let go and Papenhuyzen is putrid.

I for the life of me cant understand why we aren't going for Lucianos older brother

Raiders are willing to let him go and probably pay some of the freight

Yeah he is hot and cold but his hot is better then anything any of our backs can do, plus he gives us some much needed size. I would also think playing alongside his brother would bring out the best in him

Sorry am I missing something I was of the belief we had 27 of the 30

Your math is good Goanna. I’m assuming Pascoe can count and if so it is my belief he thinks Stef is a done deal.

I think it is because the 30th player doesn't have to be added until June 30 but spot 27 and 28 must be done prior to the start of round 1.

Personally think he is a dope - always good to give away at least 3 penalties per game and he is already 28. Not so much size we need in the centre, it is speed. We have a very good slowish centre in Momo, don't need a bookend imo.

When he concentrates on solely playing football he is good unfortunately he loses the plot far to often giving penalties away.At his age it would be nearly impossible to change his style of play and control his actions.I could not see the benefits of him being a WT player

He always attracts 2 or three defenders that's what made Lepana so dangerous
If he can do that with Nofoluma we may have something there
Both players can bust tackles and it would give us a dangerous edge to go to
Something we haven't had for a while
Leluma sounds just as good to me
