And can someone tell me, WITH AUTHORITY, that they are balancing the books if they keep all these backs while adding Latrell to the roster?

I'd wager that the Sam Burgess money would be going to him this year. Not sure how they'll do it next year when Arrow arrives. Maybe there's money left over from Burgess and they'll front load a bit of next year? Maybe they plan to have moved on Gagai, AJ or one of their other backs at that point?

I'd reckon they would have the money for him this year since it looks apparent that Arrow will not come, and they are kicking the can down the road in the hope of clearing the books for next year.

As mentioned in the LM presser - Arrow coming in 2020 or not is irrelevant to LM signing on. They're still chasing Arrow for 2020.

Brown paper bags.

Richardson confirmed that. Can afford both this year without offloading anyone.

Question, if we sign someone for 2021 season onwards, can we start paying them from Jan or Feb 2020? In effect the player would be getting paid twice, one from us, one from the other club, but its possible right?

Ah fair enough, I haven't been up to date with the reporting on it. Sounds a bit suss now.

I look forward to our upward trend in the cycle. Should happen any decade now.

I promise I won't gloat when it eventually happens.

How long are you willing to wait? Mate I hope it turns in a few months and if you gloat- good luck to you! I’ll say I was wrong and move on.

It's resilience WT supporters really need to have . Many of the greatest achievements in history have been built on resilience.

A lot of people appear to judge a lack of signings due to the perception the coach is a hard task master and disciplinarian. But when you listen to current WT players talk about Madge its really positive and encouraging, it's a pity that there are players out there that have another perception. I would be really confident that Madge and the recruiting Team will identify the needs to strengthen the current roster. Whilst some young talent may never reach the level required to be a fulltime First grader, the more good talent they recruit, will identify great future talent, the Broncos are any example of this, having at least 500 juniors identified on their books. Hoping that we have a great year, and looking forward to seeing the development of Talau, Mikalae. Momo and Garner 🙂

Ha, he thinks that after 8 years of saying that everything is ok, he can gloat if we finally get it together.

Off field stuff aside, he is the best fullback around, he would even be better the Latrell.

Given we have packer, musgrove and Reynolds maybe we don’t care as much about off field any more... @willow

You're kidding yourself.

We will have to agree to disagree willow.

I’m clearly of the opinion he would make a difference on field, he would need to keep his mouth shut and not flame social media with his polarising views. I’m not a fan of his views but he is a great player. He’d be better at fullback than Latrell.

And if the nrl allowed the type of signing we need and could get. Unlike latrell and Munster

He is a great player but an absolute grub of a human

Leaving all the off field stuff to the side, he's the wrong side of 30 (he's 31 in April,) and has been wasting away in the back line in Rugby. I don't think he'll be the revelation everyone thinks if he comes back. I reckon it'd be another Jarryd Hayne situation. Struggling club paying big money to a player on the downhill slope expecting miracles.

I would not touch him on that alone.

Back three of Douehi, Johnston and Addo-Carr would be ok by me..

I like the pace on the wings.

We're crying out for some pace in our backline.

I'd prefer Munster Addo-Carr and Nofoaluma..

Call me a negative nelly but I think we could struggle luring a player like Munster to WT.

Actually I think Munster is just the kind of nutjob who would come.

Even forgetting his polarising nature, he is on the wrong side of 30 and hasnt played RL for near a decade.

AJ is only contracted for 2020. I assume they won't renew his contract however i doubt he is on big money - maybe 400k. They will have Douehi on peanuts for 2020/2021 but i'm guessing he will want an upgrade or want a release if he gets a better offer. They would desperately want to get rid of Gagai but can't see anyone taking him without a fair bit payment by souffs. They don't really have anyone of note coming off contract at the end of 2020, other than AJ and LM. They have rolled the dice on this signing - it would be an absolute laugh if they can't afford LM for 2021.

It is a considered post Blocker. Unfortunately we need extreme pace in the backline, especially on the wings. We want our centres to have confidence that the players outside of them have the speed to finish from anywhere on the field. We have the cash we need the players this year

Tigers actively looking for a top line centre as a point of need now (that’s from with-in the organisation) Content with forward pack.

Any more details on this point ? For instance is Mbye set for the centres ? My take is Mbye must be considered for the 1 or 9 if we are after a centre.

Don't believe you. Most of your other supposed inside info hasn't eventuated.

Momo was a revelation at centre last year, and if you can believe Benji, Talau is the most exciting player at the club. Mbye is also strong at centre, so why do we need a centre as a priority?

Again have it all in written form. Can post pics if mods allow it

I can't believe you're still here.

Should we go through it?

1. LM will be at Tigers training come 6th Jan (think you claimed JAC too)
2. LM will not be at Souths
3. Souths can't fit LM in without offloading one/both of Gagai and AJ

Just the recent ones I remember.
