Apparently we should be expecting an announcement next week Tues/Weds if he agrees.

I can actually see this happening where Roosters will get AD and he will turn out to be a SOO player.. We will sit back and say if only we increase our offer by 100k...

Surely this isn’t possible. With what cap are the Roosters to outlay $500k plus? They are also supposedly after the other Morris twin to cover for that centre who did his ACL. Ridiculous...


Will they just got Latrell off the books, if Sniths injury is bad enough they may get sone short term cap relief for him. Pretty easy to sign AD under those circumstances.

Ive been wrong before.....but you are wrong about Foran. Dogs get $350K relief under the new rep injury rule but they are correctly bitching and moaning because his contract is $1M

Not much on AD in the past few days. Tigers position has been fairly consistent. He’s been speaking to a few Sydney based clubs. Looking for a club to give him a starting spot and match his contract. That’s not really news though...

AD has done the Tigers and a few other clubs a favour though as Melbourne were happy to release Addo-Carr to Souths in a straight swap (Souths picking up the first 150k). Fortunately Doueihi has no desire to leave Sydney.

Dragons also offered a player swap for JAC but we’re turned down....

I would have thought we’d be his most attractive option positionally. Gets the 1 jersey in 2020 and then could take over from Benji in 2021 if he wanted. I guess it just comes down to the money, hopefully something can be sorted quickly.

And they are going to basically go to war with us to get the kid out of his deal IMO. Expect them to use every low down trick they can. Mental health card / teenager changed his mind / wants to stay / can't sleep at night from the stress of having to leave / Tigers preyed on a vulnerable kid when they signed him.

There is absolutely no point in them keeping him this season unless they plan to do so long term also.

Probably correct, but as he will likely have had a full preseason leading to the trials, I am not writing him off just yet, as the guy is a competitor.

Can I tell you Avo, from a WT trainer, AD is no chance. Firstly, the talk at training is that no way is he going to get that sort of money and be welcome at the club, and secondly, Madge thinks he has better options already. All the young guys trialing for spots are confident they have as much to offer as AD and no-one is offering them anywhere near $500k. On the other hand, BJ was going to happen for the past couple of weeks and everyone is excited at getting a player of his stature and experience.

Not too fussed about him not coming this season, particularly so now that he is part of the top squad, as it will have him more prepared to take a spot in the 17 with us to start next season.

There is absolutely no point in them keeping him this season unless they plan to do so long term also.

What absolute rubbish. The kid has been desperate to get out of there but Parra have been grubby and denied him that chance.

This is the best case scenario for us and the kid, obviously other than him joining us immediately. He might get a crack at first grade at some point during the season so he actually has something to play for and in the end we'll get a more experienced player next season. Now announce him and keep in regular ocntact with the kid throuhgout the season.

Basically no reasonable team will touch the AD contract. Souths will have to wear the contract. As much as I’d like the type of talent that AD appears to be, I think the Club is playing it right. I think we have more to be worried about in relation to the Eels and them poisoning the well with SU.

Depends the upgrade, still could get a decent forward for decent coin for a season. Had him in plans for the season.

That’s interesting, do you know who the Dragons offered as a swap? Would we have anyone Melbourne would be interested in? If not, then I think we’ll be snowballs chance of getting JAC.
