The side is looking good honestly. If we get this hooker that fullback and hooker are sorted.

But, can anyone tell me what we are going to do about Lock?

ET makes tackles and slows the play the ball(gives away penalties too) but only makes 50m or so a game.

Eisenhuth is a good defender but too slow in his hit ups.

Ailioa would be good but for fitness and ninjuries.

We need anlock who can play 80 minutes, run 100m+ and make 30-35 tackles. Any ideas? Think Twal is too slow in attack.

I’d give Luch Leilua a run there. ***Great fitness*** and great ball playing skills. Played all his high school footy in the halves and most of the best clubs around have a lock who can ball play.

I disagree with a lot of this. I think firstly fitness is one of the big questions marks around Luciano. Secondly if he is in the middle, playing 80 and big tackle numbers this detracts from his real strengths, to be an attacking weapon on the edge. Wasted running into the teeth of the pigs.

Its funny how the mood of this forum has changed from DOOM and GLOOM to SUNSHINE and RAINBOWS after a few signings.

Just wait till we win majority of our games.

Seriously tho...
How good is Madge.

Taking us in the right direction and is authentic and transparent.
Can tell he actually cares... feels like the first coach since Sheensy who actually cares

100%. I’ve been negative and critical for months (actually years) but we’ve recruited well this offseason and our team is the best it’s looked in years. I feel like we’re heading in the right direction finally.

Douhei our best fullback since Tedesco.
BJ our best centre in years rly... since Simona rly and he doesnt even count.

Packer will be the highest paid Canterbury Cup player for the next 2 years. He won’t leave and no one will make him an offer

Disagree - he is raring to go in the NRL.

You seem confident Packer can get back To his best. He looked disinterested even when fit last year. What has changed?

13 Elijah Taylor

Link man.
Defensive workhorse.
Great guy.

Needs to limit the penalties clearly.

Greeat guys dont grg us in the top 8.
Link man. Honestly hate how many times locks try to be ball players to theiroutside.

I reckon hes underrated by a lot.

I prefer him to Eiso or Lawrence.

Hes just a hard guy that makes the tackles but can play 9 if we need it.... or 6 even. Very talented player that doesnt get the recognition he deserves.

It’s great to see the new signings, What’s even better is we get to see a different team in 2020, in regards to ‘The Madge Effect’ being more visible on the field, the boys have now had enough time under Madge.
Season 2020 should/hopefully be a better year for us.
Curious to know what your best 1-5 is, While presuming momo goes To Melbourne.

Wonder how much cash we have left for the final spot.

I saw someone elses working out came to $350K

99.9% J-Rey stood down next week.
Application for salary cap relief will be
lodged pending decision so < 350k

Promote from within to fill that spot or back to the market...

I suppose if you can get a real talent you sign them. Cap penalty for Farah is lifted after this year.

So this job that Farah supposedly agreed to and we got stung for: it didn't even eventuate that he took up this role did it?

The one and the same.

Not sure what this means CB.

Oh sorry I thought you were asking if it was over the job. I scanned your reply and didn't read it properly. Sorry mate, I have no idea if he took it on, he probably should since Pascoe got hung for it.

Too early to blood Seyfarth? Big motor.

I'd have him at 13 with his mobility, high work rate and strong running.

Hes big enough. Can he handle 80 in the middle?

Probably not yet - you'd want to introduce him off the bench - if you started with Aloiai at 13 and bring Seyfarth on, I think it's a good rotation.

Do we have enough cash to enter that race smokey or are we all done?

Still got enough to sign and upgrade for 2020 if required

It is big ask for a debutant but over the year Seyfarth, Talau, Clark and one other who is not in the Top 30 should come into the team.

Interestingly, I read on the Souths' forum that Xerri has rejected a $500,000 offer per season from the Sharks. He's as good as gone.

Exactly, and as I said, wouldnt the cap remaining be (greater than) $350?

I'd put some kgs on Lawrence and move him into the middle.

He’s cooked ..
He’s also one high shot away from becoming Quasimodo .

As in his body is gone? I think we need a bit of experience in the middle with our young props and rookie hooker.

That would be dreamland stuff but I can’t see it unless, the Storm specify they will only release him to us. Rabbits have Cap space Roosters don’t have a cap, fingers crossed though.
Do you have any insights I think someone said nothing’s happening until he sorts his manager.
