From ‘The Forgotten Man NRL Rumours’

Breaking news!

The Josh Addo-Carr situation seems to be a 3 team race for his signature - Rabbits, Bulldogs and Tigers

The Wests Tigers are favourites to sign Corey Harawira-Naera if the NRL clear him to play, the Dragons, Raiders and Warriors are also monitoring the situation!

Toby Rudolf has backflipped on his deal with the Warriors and seems set to remain in Cronulla!

Michael Chee Kam seems set to join the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs starting from next year on a 2 year deal!

I'm not even concerning myself with JAC. As if he's not going to Souths. We'd be used as a bargaining tool to up his $$.

And that's fine, up Souths asking price, less money to spend on others.

They just cheat anyway. Mitchell, we offered him over a million, Souths got him for $600k.

With an upgrade this year that is forcing Johnston out.

And JAC in on more money

We have some pretty good young forwards coming through. Twal, Mikele, Lilua x 2 as I think that BJ, given a full offseason under his belt, would make a great second row/ lock. Garner, Musgrave, McIntire, Seyfarth, Aloiai, the young boy from Parramatta . If we can get CHN from the dogs we have a very impressive engine room.

Some speedy backs would be good including a very very good goalkicker. Thoughts?

BJ to the back row - Joke of the century.

Why do some people on the Forum want to move our centres to the forwards?

Both of the brothers could be really dynamic running on our fringes. Some people on this forum have reservations in regard to BJ’s defensive reads. I don’t mind if he remains where he is, however, it never hurts to toss ideas around. People say that our forwards don’t bend the defensive line. BJ certainly would. He could also cover for any injuries in the backline.

We certainly need to strengthen our centre/wing positions and 5/8 of course. Another priority is to get a high percentage goal kicker.

So, lots to do and lots to talk about.

Elliot's quality. Would play 80mins for us and be leader. Of particular value is his tackling, strong at slowing play the ball consistently. Also a good runner. On a team that has nothing he still plays hard and is good.

Twal is the better player Elliot is solid but he’s a work rate lock not damaging enough on the edge.
He’s not worth a big contract to us we have other priorities. Lock is not one of them.

I wonder if everyone realises that Johnston earns almost twice as much as JAC does currently. We might be able to get him for 400k if we're lucky. Still a lot for a winger.

Josh is younger and faster and the better option. We need stars, not just solid quiet achievers

what's everyone's thoughts on Tamou? not many front rowers on the market that fit the mould of the leader we continue to speak about, could he be the one?

There is a reason he does not have a deal moving forward - he cannot defend.

Not sure where you got your info from but never heard his name came up from inside the club.

anyone on the radar for this year?

Nothing we have not already heard.

Doubtful CHN will get clearance this year but he will be back 2021. Very likely he will be here.

The JAC situation is very interesting and could really go to Souths, Dogs or Tigers. Reality around JAC is that Souths are his preferred destination but would be happy to come back to the Tigers or go to the dogs. Dogs offer is the biggest, Souths are his preferred and Tigers have the most preferable offer to Melbourne (not sure exactly what it is though). So it could go any of three ways... Dragons are interested but there is on interest on JACs end.

preferable offer for JAC from us got anything to do with Momirovski potentially staying in Melbourne permanently?

I guess that would be an option but I did read where Bellamy really respects Madge and seems happy to do a deal with Madge ahead of just releasing a player to anyone so just wait and see

If we were able to strike a deal with JAC through the storm though surely we would try and get a longer deal than he has with the storm now rather than have him for a year to help him get back to Sydney than see him run off to the wabbits

I really don't know if I want him. Johnston is still very quick and has no defensive issues, and will almost certainly cost us $300k less. also comes with zero baggage and has a great relationship with Madge. I know who I'd rather.

I'd be happy with AJ too

At least he knows he is not wanted at wabbits and would come with a point to prove

Wants to play fullback though or did in the past anyway

If he is happy to play wing without whinging than sign him up s he is a great winger just don't come here and cry you want to be fullback

AJ to fullback, Douehi to 5/8

Welch from the Storm would be a good signing, runs hard & tackles well & only about 25.

I thought he wanted to move back to Sydney as well? Was pretty close to signing with Parra last year before the ACL....

AJ to fullback, Douehi to 5/8

His pace as a fullback would be nice but that's all he really has as an asset for fullback

A true winger in every sense

Second row, wing and centre are my areas of concern. Need another centre, winger and probably two second rowers. I think we're good for locks and props.

in regards to BJ in the second rownTRex didnit ok and lawrence has made a good fist of the move, joey is a bug body he could be a devastating impact forward.
Plus it likely gives Talau a shot at centre wich is good

AJ isn’t a good fullback, he’s a winger and that’s where we need him to play.

Joey is the first specialist centre we’ve had for ages no need to move him around

Tamou still plays well but he wants a multi year deal which isn’t a smart idea

I'm not sure why that means JAC would be cheaper than Johnston. They're both available at the same time and one is an international winger.

The only thing relevant is market value and as of today, JAC is at least 150-200k more expensive than Johnston.

CHN and Johnston for me would be great pick ups and at reasonable tariff.
No to Elliot ..... what we need is a tough forward leader. That’s a priority.
So we know McQueen, Taylor, Lawrence, Grant and possibly MCK, Seyfarth & Clark in the forwards and Jennings, Smith and Marshall in the backs are leaving.
Stefano signed and Momo returning going the other way. Simpkins, Madden and Hoffman possibly being promoted. If there is a reduction in NRL squad numbers to say 27 .... then that still leaves us with about 3 positions to fill.

Seyfarth & Clark in the forwards are leaving.

When dis happen????
