Our off contract players for this year are (10)
Oliver Clark, Matthew Eisenhuth, Robert Jennings, Chris Lawrence, Benji Marshall, Sam McIntyre, Chris McQueen, Alex Seyfarth, Dylan Smith, Elijah Taylor.
The only players that look like we should resign are McIntyre and maybe Seyfarth/ Eisenhuth.
Based on our team now and assuming we can steal Harry Grant our lineup next year is better than recent memory.
1. Douihei
2. Nofa
3. BJ
4. Mbye
5. Talau
6. Reynolds
7. Brooks
8. Aloai
9. Harry Grant
10. Mikalele
11. Garner
12. Luciano
13. Twal
14. Stefano
15. Momirovski
16. McIntyre
17. Musgrove
We would have some depth Liddle, Hoffman, Simpkin, Blore, MCK, Eisenhuth, Seyfarth, Madden, Cini, Bradley, Scolari etc.
In my view we need to sign starters that push some players back in the depth chart to get better.
Personally I’d like to see Talau in the centre’s and Mbye as a 14 with a gun winger on the left JAC or Korobiete would be great.
CHN moving Garner to the bench would make us more formidable.
Long term replacement for Reynolds I’d make a big offer for Matt Burton from the Panthers.
A few changes and we will be a top 6 side consistently.
I could see Huth getting an offer 100k better than ours from a struggler like Titans or Dogs that are looking to build culture. But yeah, I'd keep him and Seyfarth, who is very young and going to be pretty good I reckon.
We're gonna have a lot of $$$ to spend and some savvy people making decisions. Very happy to see what comes our way.
In 2021 we have the following off Contract.
Josh Aloiai, Shawn Blore, Kane Bradley, Michael Chee-Kam, Zac Cini, Jacob Liddle, Jock Madden, Thomas Mikaele, Zane Musgrove, David Nofoaluma, Russell Packer, Josh Reynolds, Billy Walters
I would resign Aloai, Blore, Bradley, Cini, Liddle, Madden, Mikalele, Nofa. The only big money players would be Aloai, Mikaele and Nofa.
We should get back 1.550m from Packer and Reynolds. Aloai and Mikaele will be big upgrades based on their growth. Nofa is already on a big contract so he should stay I’d say he’s a loyal player and paid well.
Madge is building wisely it’s a good approach. He’s setting the team up for sustained Success. It’s hard being patient but we are on track to be very strong 2022.
The club just needs to make the finals even with the current squad albeit we are being smashed with injuries.
He’s doing it the right way and that takes time. Can’t expect instant changes like Ivan went for, madge is slowly building the roster. We are only a few good signings away from being a formidable team
