Guys let's not write off Jock Madden. He only turned 20 this year, he's still young. As others have said, we all thought McIntyre would never cut it, yet he has been really good in his short career so far. We all thought Seyfarth would be the development player to do well, yet he failed to impress in the three games he played.

And then there's the Lomax case. It just shows that a guy needs to be allowed to find his feet in first grade. Rack up some games, get some consistency, then once he feels confident, flourish. We should monitor Talau. It might not happen for him this season, but he has been quietly notching up some solid performances on the wing. I suspect by next season he might be ready to unleash.

In terms of signings, Tristan Sailor is on our radar. He is super talented, being able to play in the halves, fullback and wing. His defensive reads are a work-on, but he puts his body on the line and would fit in well here at WT. He has an awesome offensive attitude, where he can both follow a game plan and try hard to find points.

I’m a big fan of sailor. Really like him as a 5/8 and wouldn’t be surprised if we made a play at him.

Tristan would have a lot of upside. It takes most players 50 NRL games to feel they belong. Talia, Blore and McIntyre are the future. Hope our AJ today shows some promising signs in his debut If there is a point in the season we are no chance of finals then give Madden and other juniors a red hot crack. There are a number of players that were not stars juniors and turned out to be quality NRL players.

I think he'd be a realist understanding that Maguire can bring out the best in his son. It's what any father would want.

Nicho Hynes looks like a good player from the Storm and he’s a big lad at 6’2. He would be better value than Sailor.

Nicho Hynes looks like a good player from the Storm and he’s a big lad at 6’2. He would be better value than Sailor.

He’s 24 and barely played first grade. Solid and would go alright, but Sailor would have more upside.

I'm not sold on Nicho Hynes. You have to be wary of Melbourne depth players. Craig Bellamy selects and trains his players in a very specific way. A lot of them have certain things in their game which would negatively affect their game in other structures. In particular, they are often one-dimensional players, as they are trained to only perform one role in one situation. Ask them to "play what you see" and they often can't do it.

Bellamy only lets his best players play outside the structure. Cam & Brandon Smith, Munster and K Bromwich. Consider a game of chess. Those guys are your queen, knights and bishops. Everyone else is a pawn.

We don't have the quality to compete consistently against the good teams. The Knights are a good team.

Lets be serious for a second... We may as well change this thread to "Junior Signing suggestions & Rumours" As we have NO chance of recruiting any high quality players here after another quality display.. There is no way a player is going to choose us over any other team unless it is massive money and sets up his retirement... And I don't blame them because I wouldn't come..
Our club has said we are investing in juniors but deep down I think they are trying to save face as they know no one wants to come here..
I would love nothing more to be proven wrong but I just don't see it and it's been like this for 8 years.
