I doubt welch leaves Melbourne he is a stand up bloke that will probably be a one club man

Kind of agree but he was going to Parra in 2020 before he did his ACL so it's definitely possible, plus Storm don't traditionally pay big bucks for forwards

I did write previously that if you give McIntyre a chance, he is the type to grab it and blossom. I have not changed
my opinion on him. There is lots of improvement in him and I see McIntyre developing into a Finucane style lock with good ball playing skills.

McINtyre has been a nice surprise, however in the team we are aiming to be he should be a backup player who you can count on if required

Also the term 'ball playing lock'' needs to be thrown out of the rugby league vocabulary, one hasn't existed for 20 years and they aren't coming back

Jake Trjoboevic is ball player, he puts his brother through plenty of gaps

Staggs is a good player, but put him in Mbyes spot this year, he ain't gonna do much coz he won't get much ball to do anything with except for dirty hit ups. And defensively we could be worse off.
I think we got other important areas to fix than centre.

Proctor adds nothing to our team except raising the average age of the squad. Turning 32 next year...precisely the type of signing that will prevent the club from moving forward.

Didn't Proctor come out two weeks ago and say he wants to stay with the Titans because he likes the direction they're heading?

Yes he did, I posted that

I've always thought you need experienced forwards and halves, but you want young outside backs.

If Proctor was a centre, I'd agree he's too old, but I think it's important to have old heads in your forward pack. Look at Broncos for an example.

I do remember people suggesting we sign JWH. He's slightly older than Proctor.

JWH would eat Proctor for every day of the week, and still do that next year.

He’s better than all our second rowers bar Leilua. Garner has some games where he’s better and some where he’s worse.

I don’t see any other better options for a second rower and we still need one particularly an experienced one.

For cheap and on a two year deal what harm is there in signing him? Just because he’s not gonna score 10 tries a season and run people over doesn’t mean he’s bad

As someone has mentioned, if he comes here we're not getting him on the cheap.. Additionally, he's not any better than Garner but at 24 at least Garner has some upside. Proctor will be going backwards.

I'm all for signing some new backrowers but I can't see this being a good move at all. I can't imagine us all here in 2 or 3 years time saying "gee i'm glad we signed Kevin Proctor"

Kevin Proctor... the 32-year old, cocaine snorting biter? No thanks.

Agree. Stay well clear. Fingers crossed he sings anywhere but Here.

If Proctor had the reputation and attitude of James Graham I'd be all for it. Unfortunately he does not. There are a number of players who can do a similar job for the same price or less. The only thing someone in his position (an aging player in decline) can bring is culture, e.g. Ben Kennedy to Manly in 2005. Don't think he provides enough in that department. It's a no from me, sorry.

Looks like you missed the point. I was comparing the ages of the two players, not whether I'd sign one over the other. It's an apples to oranges comparison regarding ability, JWH would be nearly twice as much as Proctor.

The Mole reporting Bulldogs going for Charlie Staines for 2021.

The bulldogs seem to be going for everyone at the moment.

You can't accuse us of doing the same.

They are going with the Gold Coast strategy of recruitment. Leak to the media all the players you want to sign and one is sure to stick. To be fair it worked out for them somehow....Fa'asuamaleuai, Fifita, Ese'ese.

I guess a lot depends on what Smith decides. The Storm will have cap issues if Cam goes around again. I would imagine the Dragons would be offering a lot more than the Storm...but money is not everything.
Would love him at the Tigers

He's just a Sideshow that would Nibble away at our cap space...

We have more pressing needs

Certainly has, their recruitment has been very good. Titans will have a good year next year.
