also in regards to the dragons wanting a young forward in return give them Seyfarth

And if Illawarra agree, what does that say about some of the judges on this forum?

The Dragons are free to sign Seyfarth..he is off contract..you can't give what you don't own..

I always struggle with this forum at times like these tbh. I understand everyone is entitled to there opinion however I just don’t understand alot of people on here.
So far we have had
Talau over jac

Are you able to articulate the opinions you disagree with a little more precisely than this?

What do you mean some are saying "Talau over JAC" ?

In what way mate if you haven't been reading the many opinions that are on the previous pages ill fill you in.
alot of poster would not trade talau for jac or liddle for grant. After that read my above posts about my complaints.

The point I was trying to make is that we are not simply talking about "trading" Talau for JAC, which your post implies.

In other words, the proposition is not that we take JAC for what the Storm are paying him and they take Talau for what we are paying him, which is the way the Grant/Momo swap worked.

If that was what is proposed then I would agree. But it's not.

We will have to pay marquee money to get JAC ( a hell of a lot more than the Storm are currently paying him) which I think can be justified.

But on top of that we are supposed to give up Talau as well, who has plenty of upside, but virtually no downside since he is on minimal money.

Some of us think that is going too far.

We are not saying we think Talau is a better footballer. We are saying we want both of them.

Thankfully, it looks like the club agrees.

Thanks CCTW, appreciate the insightful post.

Hope Jrey plan goes ahead, he deserves the break and we could use the extra cash (if any)/and spot.

In other words, bugger off nuffie you cost too much & we need the roster spot

Why is everyone caught up in Storm wanting Talau in return for releasing JAC, has Tommy been mentioned as a replacement by the Storm?
If they are hellbent on getting a player in return wouldn't they identify Momo as a target seeing that he is already in their system?

Don't put words in my mouth, I did not say that at all.

He is not a Nuffie, like him but we need maybe someone else more that is a better fit.

Dont disagree with you.

But I guess my slighty alternative view is if that ends up the sticking point i personally would do it

Sign up Saab, Drinkwater, JAC and Bunty with Utoikamanu coming next season and we're looking a real force! Drinkwater and Brooks would be a real good partnership, Drinkwater doesn't shy away from being the primary ball carrier and leader

Would the broncos like to induldge in a swap of Mbye for Staggs

In a parallel universe where we live in a utopia and are granted all our desires, they’d probs still say no

I don't rate Drinkwater, lacks the killer instinct. We've already got two fullbacks who might actually be better 5/8ths and a bunch of 5/8ths we might want to let go.

We also have a few outstanding. young halves who are excellent prospects.

Woah woah woah. CCTW didn't mention Drinkwater coming to us at all. He just said he may not be able to fit at NQ. Sloooooow down.

The most interesting part of his info is that a few players need to be moved on. Realistically I wonder who that may be. Packer and Mbye are not going to be picked up by another club. To me that leaves some of the disappeared like Clark and Chee (dropped/rested, never to be seen again), Huth (as mentioned by Pom) and Reynolds (who I hope goes to the UK because he will be beloved and also kill it).

Staggs is off contract end of next year right? That coincides with Reynolds, Packer and Chee-Kam coming off contract. More than $1.5m freed up right there. Plus if we could potentially move on Mbye, that's over $2 million in space. We'd be crazy not to make a play for him.

Could you imagine:

2. Nofoaluma
3. Leilua
4. Staggs
5. Addo-Carr

That would have to be one of the best attacking backlines the NRL has seen. No doubt it'd struggle in defence but man would it be exciting to watch.

Forgotten man Facebook - (just another rumour mill)

Breaking news!

As I stated over a month ago, that the Wests Tigers were favourites to sign Josh Addo-Carr I’m now being told that the deal is practically done and should be finalised over the next few weeks!

Christian Welch looks likely to remain at Melbourne Storm following this season, however there is strong interest from various Sydney clubs!

There’s also ongoing discussions with Super League clubs and the Wests Tigers in order to send Josh Reynolds to England...... a potential Gareth Widdop for Josh Reynolds trade is being discussed but no further actions so far - Jackson Hastings too!

I’m hearing Albert Hopaote looks set to join the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs for the 2021 season, definitely a young gun to keep your eyes on!

Esan Marsters is being shopped around aggressively with the North Queensland Cowboys desperate to get him off the books - a few potential suitors with the Dragons, Warriors, Bulldogs and Gold Coast Titans all sharing slight levels of interest

The Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs are favourites to acquire Brandon Smith for the 2021 season..... however the Wests Tigers also share a strong interest in Smith if Harry Grant returns to Melbourne

Roster spots are at a premium, surely even Benji himself can see we need the spots, but alas he will still want to play on, we have a stack of contracted players who can play in the halves if it came to that.
If we move some on we could still do better than a 36 year old who still thinks he is going ok.
We could completely revamp our backline with a bit of luck in moving players on and getting others here, it could be the catalyst for the club, out with the old slow backs, in with the new younger fast ones, I can only hope
