Signings

A player that no one has mentioned who would be a great buy would be Zeb Taia from Catalan Dragons. He has been great the last couple of years playing both 2nd row and centre. He is huge, good pace and is mean SOB. Him playing inside Brooks or Moses would increase the confidence of the young blokes.
In my opinon, you need to 2nd rowers with experience and toughness playing inside the halves and also running decent lines for them.
Zeb Taia would provide this and not cost alot of money at the same time.

If we sign anyone you would imagine Lewis Brown and Pauli Pauli are the likely candidates going by the Chinese whispers that have been floating around the place for a long time. Certainly not world beaters but would probably strengthen our squad

Lewis Brown was very solid last night and made a few breaks. Would love him at our Club.

Me too FT. I love his offloads and his quick play the ball. Love to see him wearing our Jersey.
Is a very nice person off field too.

Too many brain snaps sorry in crucial stages of games

We have had enough blokes over the years who are experts in this area

We wont be buying any Origin players this time around for certain, as long as the players that they buy address the current weaknesses in the squad I will be happy, Ryan Morgan, Adam Docker and Lewis Brown would do

Would be stoked with these 3 at our club! Morgan adding solid depth/lawrence fill in, Docker is still young and has a big future, and Lewis Brown the experience we need to balance our pack

Pauli Paul has a few glaring weaknesses in his game. But if coached right he would be a great pick up! My mate who is an eels fan is really hoping we don't get him.

Out of the names mentioned only Docker for me.

But that would be on a mid season transfer.

If we have to wait until next year id save the cap room and make a play for someone better.

We are only 3 signing off premiership material. Unfortunately those signings are Sam burgess, Sonny Bill Williams and Israel folau.

We have got rid of these blokes and now have hardly anyone willing to chance their arm in attack. However that's the way the coach wants it so I doubt we will be getting Lewis Brown.

Drama queens all three, but Sam would be a sensational buy.

Sorry Demps, I disagree - he has been playing great footy for the past 3 years for Catalan. He is not the same player from a few years ago in the NRL. He is aggressive in defence and runs good hard lines just what we are crying out for. He would not cost much.
We need to think outside the box on players. Everyone keeps banging on about sigining this player and that when in reality we can't afford to sign anyone of note at this stage. Taia is better than any of our current backrow apart from Taupau. The guy can play either backrow or centre.
I trust Moss and Taylor will recruit correctly and personally would like to see Docker sign with us or Brown who would fill that edge backrow.
I think we need to purchase a decent centre (which are hard to find -Thompson Teteh is a diamond in the rough) and 2 edge backrowers and maybe another prop if Ava and Keith leave.
ATM our backrowers are young and too inexperience to playing inside Brooks and Moses.
Also i would try and get Mitch Cornish as back up/competition for Moses and Brooks but i know that would never happen.

How about Mose Masoe? big aggressive, intimidating coming of the bench. Might of played under JT at the roosters.

was a beasstt at penrith, opposite at roosters

Idk, but i have a feeling this time next week we might have announced a signing or two. There was a dude on here about a month ago claiming that the club was just waiting till the round 13 deadline to pass before announcing them. The only reason why i put stock into that is because he was a new poster, and has rarely posted since, not that i have seen anyway.

Would make sense for the club to wait for the June 13th deadline to come and go before announcing any supposed signing.

Meyer is fairly shrewd with these type of issues.

But still i dont hold out much hope.

If they have in fact made a few positive signings I would be announcing it tomorrow heading into our game on Friday. Especially considering the struggle for numbers…

Nah an announcement won't make any different to this weekends game. The crowd was always going to be poor for that game - long weekend, origin period, friday night at Leichardt, first week of winter and a cold one at that.

I would say they will make it next week to try and raw a big crowd for the Souths game at ANZ which also will help support the move next year to more games at ANZ
