Simona on the move

Why'd you delete Mighty wt? 😱pen_mouth:

Taylor doesn't want to talk about it but is trying to reassure that if this did happen it would "be best for the team" etc.. not sure how he believes Zillman is best for the team though. I guess he sees something we don't.

IF JT moves Simona on he is even more deluded than i thought

Is it best for team cohesion? 😱pen_mouth:

I don't see anything in it for us. I believe it's more ridding ourselves of the cap issue than trying to trade for a better player.

If this is a cap related issue, the contracts of Idris, Suli and co would not have been registered by the NRL?

As I said, is this another team cohesion issue?

Why is everyone talking about JT - The club specifically employed Kelly Egan and the recruitment guy for these decisions - As much as you all want to blame JT this isnt his job

Do you honestly believe that JT has not been consulted on player retention and releases? That would be totally contrary to all of his actions up till now

The bottom line Tim call tell the club via his manager to get stuffed and he will see out his contract. Although as I said earlier in this thread the club is probably holding a gun to his head and saying you will not get a new contract in 2018 and we have arranged a three year deal at the Coast..the choice is yours..

I know its a dog eat dog business, but we as a club seem to be more ruthless than most, and you would not mind if it was a method of keeping up near the top of the tree, but that has not been the case and to be honest doesn't look like changing in the near future

Have you heard this from someone inside the Club…?

Doesn't matter where he heard it from, the club has recent form in this respect. Not saying its true, right or wrong but many seem to have got the impression from the JT interview that Tim is going, Tim wants to stay and that sounds like the start of a fun filled couple of weeks for the papers and the forum.

But what i do believe is if the players know or even assume that a pattern is emerging they may start looking over their shoulders and make the decision to jump rather than wait to be the next player tapped on the shoulder.

Taylor has never understood team harmony he is a prickly little guy who does not see the effect on the team by playing games. There is zero benefit in the Simona move. Honestly he's like an inferior version of Brian Smith it's carnage wherever you turn. How about coaching to improve players and getting the best out of people.

Did Taylor explain why he is willing to let Simona go? I ask this because earlier today there was a statement from Simona saying that he wants to stay with Wests Tigers at least until 2017\. All this business is turning me off the Wests Tigers each day.

He didn't say anything of the sort, but went out of his way NOT to deny it. He said something like, "balancing the salary cap is a real jigsaw these days. We'll announce something before anything happens." Which could also means he'd prefer Simona gone, but won't try to force him out.

The smartest move the club could make is send Jason Taylor packing now and leave Simona here, then maybe we could start getting some positive news.
