Kepaoa and To'a looked clueless in defence. In a number of Souths tries we had the right numbers, but one or both of them did the wrong thing. To'a was known for being bad in defence while at Newcastle. He hasn't made any improvements since coming here.

We let in 8 2nd half tries.
Our forwards seem to have given everything they had in the 1st half and had nothing left in the tank? Maybe a few of them are thinking too far into the future. Like next season? Joe was good for us. Our backs had structure and looked threatening with the addition of Naden and Laurie. Brooks was well targeted by Souths.
Souths big boppers made plenty of ground up the middle, again Burgess went looking for Simpkin, but he always put his body on the line.

It was never so blatantly obvious when our pack stood by and watched Harry Grant 1st in.
Our guys lack footy IQ, emotional intelligence? Call it what you like, but surely they can see Burgess looking for the smallest player.

The way they went to water when Souths turned it up a notch was simply more of the same rubbish we have seen under this coach.

The team need a coach who get these guys playing heads up lead with the heart football.

One dimensional over structured play has limited this squad. The squad is capable of finals footy.

Do you believe that will change if Maguire is not our coach? I believe Liddle is a very good hooker but Maguire's style just doesn't suit him.

You're probably right but with the amount of hookers we have next year and some other positions lacking... I think some trades need to be made.

That’s been part of Australian culture since forever. When things aren’t working, the losers come out swinging, they want to know who is responsible, and they want them gone. 😂
It’s funny that very little consideration is given to “what” are we doing wrong?
