SOO III 2020 *Spoilers

Next year we could try Brooks at 7 and Wighton at 6. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Lastnight I couldn't help but feel relief that Nofo didn't get selected.
Freddy's idiotic selections made classy players like Keary, Jake T, Wighton, Yeo, Cleary and C Walker look like crap.
The team did not seem to gel or work together and there were a few that should not have been selected in the series, especially in make shifts positions.
The halves pairing needs to be the first to be addressed. No one seems to pair well with NC and perhaps not including him (after that GF loss) could've benefited him mentally - though he wasn't too bad in the last game. Walker has a tendency to go missing, so maybe Wighton's a better option. Who knows, obviously not Freddy.
Also, where was CCMedaliist??
Thought QLDs forwards were phenomenal. Even Lindsay Collins was fantastic.
How good is Munster? Can't help but admire him.
Though I'd have to rewatch thought Saifiti and Crichton were great for us. Possibly missed a Klemmer or RCG type.

I'm not sure if I said it before but the bloke who had to be a must for NSW was Wade Graham

You might have mentioned it once or twice.

That was the last game of footy for a good 4-5 months ? what am I supposed to do with myself now?

Do what I do and watch replays of the games we won this season. Problem is, it gets a bit monotonous spending 5 months watching the same 7 games.

I like when they run the old school games. I wasn’t around for the 80’s and 90’s game’s so I do enjoy watching them for the first time whenever I’m bored, seeing legends like Meninga, Johns, etc play in their primes. Really love watching Cliff Lyons plays he was a freak!

Lyons was certainly one of the best.

Didn't mention it last night ...but Arrow has to spend some time on the sidelines ...this is why this stuff has to be eliminated from the game ...you just don't know if a bloke is seriously injured or not ..give him a shove yeah ok maybe ..forcibly drag him up ...nah

I fully agree but the more important question is why didn't the ref or the bunker ref take action against Arrow. The replays were shown multiple times while Tedesco was being treated and they had plenty of time to award a penalty to NSW and at least 10 in the bin for Arrow.

Even if we accept he didn't know the player was badly hurt (I don't) he could clearly see the ball had been lost so why drive a defenseless player without the ball head first into the ground. It was a rhetorical question. I know why he did it, to injure a defenseless opponent without the ball. Many ex players who did play RL at the highest level called it a grubby act. Keith Galloway for one.

One thing that I think should happen is Cleary should be marked never to play again or at least for a long long time. He was so poor out there. Poor options and no creativity. He can defend and he can kick goals and occasionally he puts a good general play kick in. He needs massive work on his game.

He (and any half) also needs his forwards to not be dominated to give him time and space.

A lot of people are comparing Nathan Cleary to Mitch Pearce given his decent but not game winning style of play. Watching him this series he reminds me more of Jason Taylor, and thats about all he will ever be in my opinion.

He lacks big game winning ability but provides great on field orginisation, kicking and of course his goal kicking.

Munster and DCE will own him for many many years.
