Speculation and Opinion.....

Hello fellow forumers,here is TTs sermon of the week,now that we are getting closer to the season opening…
I have read many threads lately on our forum with mixed emotions,I have read about Robbie,Lawrence the members day,the 2015 team and much more.I have come to the conclusion that at the end of the day there is much agreeing and disagreeing which is human nature..
My main point that I would like to make is when people have an opinion for eg,Robbie there is always someone out there to quickly jump down the throat of the person who has had an opinion,because it is not how they see the other persons opinion and hence the aggressive behaviour of some...

What I would like to see
Robbie our team captain and leader on and off the field be given a chance to lead this young and exciting team to maybe finals contention...without being called names and bagged for whatever happened in 2014...
Lawrence been given the opportunity to try and recapture his old form to the best of his ability...without being name called or bagged out for his poor form of recent years which has mainly been through injury....it is a contact sport and people get hurt....
The board be given the chance to sort out what can only be decribed as rabble of a business prior to the new appointments......
Phil Moss to completely overhaul the salary cap issues we have and put us in a much better buying position than what we have had...
JT to be given every possible opportunity to coach this great side without having his hands tied....

Last but not least the great supporters of this club,we are many,to come together in a spirit of hope and excitement during this season and being positive with each other,the young players will need us in a positive frame of mind ....the last thing Admin right down to the playing group need is negativity from us,if we do have a problem in any particular area,let's talk about it in an orderly manner....
Let's all embrace this new chapter of excitement which is upon us at the WTs,I promise you now there is going to be plenty of ups and downs,there is no escaping from that but let's be strong for our team and mostly for each other..... 😛ray:

It's a boring World all agreeing in everything that is said .
A forum is designed for things to be discussed , the reality is we don't all see eye to eye on certain subjects ? disagreements will happen .

I admire your positivity TT but just let things be , people will come on and vent about a player's selection and question it after a loss or a Ref's decision .
Everyone is entitled to there opinion right or wrong that's what a Forum is there for ?

Mods do a fantastic job here and have handled things accordingly.

Actually TT I totally disagree

The club more than anytime needs accountability , if we continue to let them let us down by underachieving without holding them responsible we aren't doing our jobs as supporters or members

I can deal with losing as long as they put it all on the line for 80 minutes 24 Rounds of the 2015 season

Just don't let the jersey down , that's all I ask

Idk whether its cos people are bored, but the last couple of weeks the amount of preciousness that has creeped into the forum has been on the higher end of the scale. I've seen a few people not being able to handle a difference of opinion and want to make things personal. As everyone says, its a forum, we're mainly all strangers to each other and words on a screen. No need to get so jaded over a difference of opinion, its just footy.

No problems with this wish list. Am geographically distanced from the front line gossip but from Qld it appears we are starting to sort out the back room issues in the club and that's gotta be a good thing. It should transfer to positive times on the field. The only thing I would add is that surely we are due for a good run on the injury front. A decent bit of luck and management in this aspect of club life and perhaps we will have a good year. 25 days and counting…..........

Yeh well said.

However, i think it gets personal or people get offended when people carry on about something. I'm ok with venting a bit of frustration but at times you see the same people saying the same thing about player x all the time which gets tedious and annoying. It gets to you even though it shouldn't.

I'll put my hand up and say I'm guilty of doing that with sheens. Everything he did annoyed the crap out of me and I posted more in anger than in just frustration.

We all love the WT's and all it's players

But I want the best from and for the WT's and if my comments can help well even better

One thing I have learnt in life about business is that some of the best ideas come from the people on the floor

I seldom post but I always read everyone's comments nearly everyday. I love the Tigers, if I criticise it's because I think something is wrong, if I praise it's because I think something is right. It doesn't matter what you all think, my opinion is my opinion, not yours or anyone else's. As long as you all remember, we are all here because we love the Tigers. We are sisters and brothers on the Tigers roller coaster. We have the highest of the highs and lowest of the lows. Would you change it any other way?

Whilst I like your sentiments, TT, what you are proposing is utopia and utopia doesn't actually exist, especially on a forum of footy head fanatics! I agree with Snake, I love to vent because it keeps me sane. I will always try to be respectful of my fellow forumers in my venting, but it doesn't mean i will agree with everything they say.

As far as the players go, it's open slather, imo - they are the ones on the stage performing and if I don't like how they are performing I won't hold back. They're big boys, I'm sure criticism from a nuffy like me won't affect them too much :laughing:

If I may be so bold as to offer another possibly upsetting opinion that could totally ruin someones day, or unbalance their otherwise stable personality and maybe make them forget to feed their pet piranha, I think Happy's post expresses my perspective well.
