if we are being fair dinkum here this is what the "big 4" are worth IMO.

1\. Teddy $1m per year
2\. woods $800-$850 per year
3\. Moses $500 per year
4\. Brooks $400 per year

Similar for me, tho I would pay them 50k less.

Ted - 1 Mil
Woods - 750-800
Moses - 500
Beooks - 350

2.5 mill for the 4 of them is all id pay.

Moses asking $900k.
Its been reported that Anthony Milford is asking the same price.
Jason Taumalomo only got an $100k per year than that (albeit for 10 years).
Sorry Mitch, thats too much.

He has a bloody hide asking that much. The bloke is worth maybe $500K elsewhere. He should only get $250-300K realistically.

I made a comment on stating that we should split the big 4, im keen to see what everyone thinks. I know I will more than probably get shot down for this, and understandably so but it is a forum.

So my idea was to get rid of Woods, Moses and Brooks whilst only keeping Tedesco.

Make a play for Jack Bird and Chad Towsend from Cronulla.

To replace Woods, there is stacks off props off contract, amongst them are Nelson Asofa Solemona, Kane Evans, Charlie Gubb, Felise Kaufusi, Patrick Kaufusi etc.

To move forward, we need to change the culture in the club. We don't need players who think they are bigger than the club.

If Cleary comes in here, I am almost certain you will find that what I have mentioned will become reality. Just like he got rid of Lewis, Jennings, Gordon at Penrith.

Why would players of that quality all of a sudden want to come here, when all weve been able to attract in the past is players with injury histories or those with issues and big ????s surrounding them?
Wed have to pay massive overs…its partly whats gotten us in the mess were in now.
Players from top four clubs, premiership clubs arent going to be lining up for the basket case spoon favourites

Aint that the truth!! People seem to think if we waive a bundle of cash all these players will leave their current clubs and join our club. Just is not going to happen, the new coach might be able to attract a player if we are lucky. As I have said before we might get lucky and be able to offer a bench player at a good club a better deal, but the Wade Graham,Shaun Johnson in a word ..dreaming

I think Most quality players would rather switch codes than come here , I know I would .
Basket case of a club .

Nope …you just put them in a team list and it's as good as done...

So in that case do we give up on keeping Teddy and Woods?

We haven't had a coach that attracts players or the budget to go after players in such a long time that we just think why would they come.

But if the board make the right call on a coach then things could turn for us.

I can't believe that Moses is expecting $900k. I suppose it's an easy decision. Just laugh and walk away.

Its not so much splitting them, but retaining them in order of importance…theres only so many slices to WTs cap pie, Id be offering Teddy Woods & then Mitch in that order the first slices...theyd get smaller if youre first in and get the most.
Jump in Teddy, what you waitin for?
A coach?

I like Mitch but the Tigers only have one current player who should be asking for that sort of money.

Rankin

Do you guys think Parra and Canberra have been attractive options for players in recent years? Canberra is a hole and were a struggling team, and Parra have been a bigger basket case than us. Both teams have been able to attract very good players. No reason why we cant do the same.

I still think Brooks is capable of turning the corner and I think he's the more likely of the two to stay for considerably less money. Moses will probably attract big money from elsewhere and to be honest I would just let him walk and take the influence of Isaac with him.

This is completely unrealistic as there is no way we, or any other club, could pull off so many signings in a single season, but I'd like to see something like this:

FB: James Tedesco (RS), Kurt Mann (**S**)
Wing: David Nofoaluma (RS), Daniel Tupou (**S**), _Kurt Mann_
Centre: Moses Suli*, Dean Whare (**S**), George Jennings (**S**)
5/8: Luke Brooks (RS), Jack Littlejohn (RS), _Kurt Mann_
HFB: Gareth Widdop (**S**), _Jack Littlejohn_
2RF: Chris McQueen (**S**), Liam Farrell (**S**), Josh Aloiai*, Chris Lawrence*, Esan Marsters*
LOCK: Elijah Taylor*, _Sauaso Sue_
FRF: Aaron Woods (RS), Felise Kaufusi (**S**), Sauaso Sue*, Ava Seumanufagai (RS), JJ Felise*, Junior Tatola, Taniela Paseka
HK: Jacob Liddle*, Matt McIlwrick (RS), _Jack Littlejohn_

Canberra didn't attract any big names, they made the right decisions. Have a look at their side, the only player on big money would be Papali.

Yeh not a lot of big signings but some signs they can attract players with Teddy, Austin, Leluia and Sezer all agreeing, although Tedesco pulled out. But shows the right moves can get good players.

…and Junior Paulo and Joe Tapine and Aidan Sezer but yeah I agree, they've done really well to assemble the squad they have and to already have it locked in for 2017/2018.
