Yay guys that was awesome!!
Ngl have rewatched the final sequence at least a dozen times already - that and Chapter 13 were my personal highlights. I can only imagine how amazing it must've felt for anyone who experienced the Trilogy during its original release. You'd surely be feeling a little nostalgic today.
The Mandalorian has totally exceeded all expectations and IMO have done a great job with unifying the true vision of Star Wars. Felt Favreau and Filoni have totally recaptured the essence and magic.
Thanks to whoever shared to watch post credits as in my excitement I completely missed it ?
There's so many questions and I'm gonna completely ignore Kylo Ren... for now, as I'm still feeling all the emotions from the the clan of two splitting up and can't quite deal with that thought just yet.
I think we might find that series like this are the future of the franchise.
Better than the Star Wars 2.0 crap movies that have no new ideas.
No such thing as a crap Star Wars Movie...Even the pre-quels have grown since the Madalorian..
We disagree @Geo. Episode VII – The Force Awakens (2015), Episode VIII – The Last Jedi (2017), Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker were terrible copies of the original trilogy. Just bigger special effects that really didn’t advance the story at all.
I agree with you but they were still great IMO
The Rise of Skywalker just was the original 3 movies rolled into 1..it will be interesting to see if they expand post..somehow tho I don't think they will...
I think a pre skywalker.... Old or High republic would be an epic trilogy..origins of the Jedi/Sith sort of thing..Mandalore Wars even..
Somehow I think they will stay within the Skywalker timeline with spin off's to known characters both from the movies and animated series...whatever they do for the big screen it's a licence to print money..
Did you watch past the credits?... set it up for Boba Fett series.

I did have the pod racing game on nintendo 64 which was pretty cool.
That was the only reason Episode I – The Phantom Menace was made, merchandising.

It is now, but the original trilogy was about the movie experience and telling a story. The Empire Strikes Back is still one of the best movie sequels of all time.

The Phantom Menace is really the only one I struggle with.
Cmon..now this is Pod racing..
I did have the pod racing game on nintendo 64 which was pretty cool.
That was the only reason Episode I – The Phantom Menace was made, merchandising.
The whole franchise is a merch machine
It is now, but the original trilogy was about the movie experience and telling a story. The Empire Strikes Back is still one of the best movie sequels of all time.
No they were merch machines as well. They really showed the way for selling merch around a movie.
All Star Wars merch has outsold all box office sales I think ?
I’m sure I’ll be corrected!
For sure..
George is no dummy..
I so want to see Star Wars land at Disneyland .. apparently they spent 1 Billion dollars ?

Can’t agree. I would have seen all three of the original trilogy films at least a dozen times each at the theatre when they first came out. It was revolutionary film making at the time. As an example Star Wars (it wasn’t called a New Hope when it first came out, that was changed very soon after the initial release once Lucas realised it was going to be a success and further films were possible. Lucas has a habit of re-writing history to suite his narrative) was the first major film to feature Dolby Surround Sound. The merchandising came later almost as an afterthought.
The Phantom Menace is an entirely different story, that movie was all about merchandising.

I think the major Studios agree with you. HBO (Warner Bros, DC Films) will release all 2021 films on HBOmax streaming service on the same day as theatre release. This includes Wonder Woman 1984 and Dune as examples.
