Stay safe all Queensland residents

Probably means little to many but a small town in the Dawson Valley has been evacuated due to having to some controlled Callide Dam releases

Jambin near Biloela has been evacuated , had a meeting out there at the local Jambin Hotel many years ago and will always remember it well

The locals were some of the nicest and down to earth people I have ever met

Hope everyone out their is safe and well

No power at work still , looks like we will lose a lot of cold stock and possibly frozen stock

Possibly still 24 hours until we get it back at work

Yeah mate. Currently doing an open home in it - It's raining here, but no worse than I've seen it. Not windy at all. Just looks like another rainy day at the moment. Apparently it's supposed to get more serious tonight, but we'll see.

Open homes in the wet are great for prospective buyers. At least they will know if there are any leaks in the house or not

Good point Flip
Sounds like your talking from experience  .

Well I just spent a couple of hours charging mobiles at the local radio station footpath so I can get updates on tonights game.

Can't get the live stream but twitter is giving updates.

Power still out from 1030am yesterday. Hearing may take between 3 days or 3 weeks!!!!

Cleaned up the mess in back yard today under a clear blue sky. Now the front yard has it all for council to take away.

Go Tigers

Tuesday or Wednesday for both Rocky and Yeppoon next week they said on the news tonight for the power if that helps CQ

Mt Larcom is two weeks away for power

Things aren't good in the Rocky Yeppoon area

Only one petrol station open to supply fuel for 110 000 people

People in Rockhampton are offering people in surrounding cities to buy generators and bring them to Rocky because they have no fuel themselves to get out

Very few businesses are open due to no power and they can't get deliveries due to flooding

700 armed services personnel have been flown in

CQ Tiger if there is anything I can do to help let me know by PM , I'm off Tuesday

Now talking over a week to get all the power back on

1800 power lines down ,in the Rocky Yeppoon

If I can help you CQ in any way send me a message mate

Thanks mate, but all good so far.
Oh one thing you can do for me!

It's been 35 degree C + here (over 40 with humidity) no fans, no air con. If you could find a big hand fan and wave it back and forth all night over me so I can get some sleep, I would really appreciate it.

Good to see Gladstone missed it though.

I think there are a few servos opening up now. Caltex on Yaamba Rd had a lineup over a kilometre long yesterday arvo. Before that Caltex on south side had a 2 kilometre lineup at 0300am yesterday morning.

All good mate, thanks

FYI
For all the many good samaritan stories you hear about during heartbreaking events like Marcia, there are also some low-life ones.

There are no traffic lights working in Rocky so council has put generators at each set of lights to get them up and running. It was just announced over the radio that people are taking the generators! Scumbags who only think of themselves.

Oh and I spoke to a guy yesterday who bought fuel at a servo for $1.18 yesterday at lunchtime and his mate bought fuel from the same servo 90 mins later - for $1.30\. Both had receipts.

Profiteering
