What's the hold up in extending him? It's close enough to Christmas and we've all been good.

A guy as talented as him would really be silly to commit to WT for any length of time (sadly). The big clubs would be lining up.

He has…….

Mate i honestly hope you are right and the club announces it this week.It would be the best xmas present i have had in years and i am not joking he is a player to lead our pigs for years

I have a feeling that Stefano thinks he can play his best football here. We valued him so much that we paid a ridiculous amount of money for a cap-less prop. We are committed to building a good team around him, one that will allow him to play to the best of his ability.

The club realised they needed someone to take runs after Stefano. They got Laurie (take note of who makes a run before Laurie makes a break). We also signed Peachey who can generate a quick play of the ball straight after Stefano. Peachey is good because he only really calls the ball when he spots something half-decent.

They knew we needed an organiser. Someone who can give the best shapes for guys like Stefano who can run a good line off the dummy half. They got Hastings for next season. Let's see how this pans out.

We even went out and signed one of the best dummy halves at the moment (Koroisau).

Cmon Stefano is a Forward! He dont speak like that!

Stef, we got Pappaii. You hit big, he hit big. You two hit big together.

Hey Stef, we signed Koroisau, he big winner. He pass ball.

Stef, we sign other people to pass ball. You just tackle and hit big!

Keep it simple. Forwards care about us signig other hard hitting forwards. No one want to be punching bag.

Any update on Stefano?
@THE_POM do you have any info on this as we were hoping it was a near formality

If Pom isn’t posting inside info, it’s probably because there isn’t any.

Pretty sure the majority of the NRL are still on break. Saw Cameron Murray in Singapore airport just a few days ago. Hopefully, Stef is also getting some R&R ready for a big season.

Stef has re-entered the spotlight so thought it would be best to re-up his topic.

I enjoyed the last WT podcast very much but really it's the same as this forum but has verbal *opinions* instead of written ones.
They didn't say straight out that Stef isn't going to extend.
No authority has come out and said anything substantial, yet.
It's still only speculation and there wouldn't be a better way to promote their podcast by saying something questionable about Stef, of course it's going to create interest [I say that with respect]
I don't think we should be fretting just yet.
There are a lot of positives for him to resign:
1. We are in a position to upgrade him now with good coin and security ie long term guarantees.
If he opts to go somewhere else and gets injured in the meantime the the goalposts shift.
2. Our team is rebuilding with 2 gun forwards coming next year and exciting new talent this year to compliment rising stars like AD Laurie etc.
3. He has already made SOO development squad whilst playing for WT [no doubt making the team will happen if he stays with us]
4. The club has Tim Sheens and good assistant coaches to help Madge
I'm sure you guys know more, like family connections etc.
Whilst there are no bad news, it's good news!

All good positive points though im sure his agent has informed him he holds all the cards

If he was committed to the club he would have signed by now….he has had a marquee offer on the table for 2 months now….

Yep, this is a problem.
Apart from remuneration, what else can we offer the guy?
The shocking on field results over the past decade have put us in this position.
The Wests Tigers is a very hard sell to a bloke likely being heavily courted by the premier clubs in this league.

Exactly champ, the power of the agent.
I would love to be a fly on the wall and listen in on what the agent/s are putting in his head.
What do you think his TPA are.
I'm willing to donate my old Malvern Star bicycle to him if it means getting his deal over the line.
Look at other clubs, uncle Nick seems to throw the dollars around, or should I say under the Sombrero.
Tech billionaire Mike Cannon-Brookes has now joined forces with Crowe and Packer so I wonder how much cash is flowing around in the background.
Our own Harry Triguboff has propped us up for years but I can't see a sombrero from him or others, well not so obvious to be played out in the media.
It's frustrating when these power clubs just feed off the humble clubs like ours. We train them up then we can't keep them.
Do you think that clubs like ours have the capacity to retain the Tedescos of the game, or is it purely the dollars not visible to the auditors.
There must be things happening that dumb-arses
like me can't fathom.
If someone like Stef accepts a reasonable offer from us and shove that right up the noses of Melbourne, Roosters or Souths then it would be something that would bind this club together for a long long time m that's the gravity if this upgrade.
It would be like another Robbie or Benji signing years ago.

Have you seen his teeth, they are the whitest I've seen, maybe free dental to keep them like that is the way to go :]

Fact that he hasn’t yet signed extension offer is a worry.
Our recruitment team will loose a lot of brownie points if they don’t get this done and dusted before the season opener.
Technically no other club can legally talk to him before November 1 …… but you can take that with a grain of salt.

So if he extends mid year or end of season who cares?

Like seriously I get the panic but they only lose if it doesn’t happen. We are just all impatient. He has what 2 more years. No club can talk to him for another 10mths without permission. We have time. Stop panicking people.

Exactly momo, this is becoming a turning point in the history if our club IMHO.
The only thing that makes me feel a little better is he is contracted to WT till the end of next year.

Didn't think he would sign any thing, or be advised to, at this stage. He has no worries about securing a contract, and there will be clubs already factoring in how to lure him if he doesn't commit to WTs. The club can only offer an a attractive extension and if they have done that, not much else they can do if he is not ready to consider it.

People are stressing out about this way too much. Yes he is a big talent and we need to keep him long term but he’s playing for us for the next two seasons. Just let it play out the club are working with him on a deal.

We won't lose him.
Screw the roosters and the Storm he'll be a Tiger for life. With my man Twal 🍆 and Captain AD we're good 👍
No need to worry.

Assume a third party has entered the ring.

He always have interest but I reckon he'll show more loyalty than the other wanks that left.
Sheens will see to it
