Strategic Plan

The last strategic plan was not far off a Tafe assignment.

It had some utterly useless vanity goals like X number of followers on Facebook. After reading that I knew the people running our club were clueless.

There were some more useful goals like a certain percentage of local juniors in our team, but it was apparent that the club has no idea what was needed to achieve that.

The last time I checked, very few (or even none) of the objectives had been achieved and nobody was held accountable.

I'm glad the current plan is not publicly available as my blood pressure is already high enough.

Strategic plan?

They don't even have policies and procedures in place to stop the players from publicly supporting opposition teams.

They have a financial plan, clearly...
No concerns with fielding a first grade capable rugby league team tho.
I think the Tiger's would have more luck with a blind and deaf wedding planner who knows nothing about about Rugby league then to continue doing what we are doing I have nothing after yesterday's efforts

And that's not having a go at blind or deaf people it's like the Tigers board do not see or hear anything

All the comments I've read so far I have heard year after year since 2006 but not before the merger, Magpie supporters will have to say if this happened to their club, I doubt it.
Disappointing results with the tigers were talked about in the pubs because there wasn't any forums [not that I knew of], mobile phones nor social media. It was easier to follow jersey flegg, reserves and 1st grade because we watched it all on one day.
There was a feeling of being part of a family.
Going to LO you would see so many people you knew and cheer together. [Same at Lidcombe Oval I guess]
You would think now that we have all the facilities and technology available to the club/us, that the club could communicate with it's members better. Eg injuries, contracts, facilities, the PLAN.
As far as contracts go, since the NRL ratifies and registers contracts [well that's how I presume happens other than the actual contract agreed by the player and the club],
could the NRL, once they allow the contract to go ahead, announce when it takes effect and the $. Take it out of the clubs control.
As far as the $ goes, why cant positions available be posted with salary offered?
People are saying thats an invasion of privacy but it's not if it's advertised just like it still done in the classifieds.
Lack of info between clubs and it's members is not just with our club. If you surf all the other clubs forums there us a similar tune.
We are Wests and we are Tigers 💯%

Lee has been quiet since Sheens rolled in. Hopefully he keeps his head pulled in and keeps pumping them sponsorship dollars in.
Pascoe has overseen the lot. JT, Cleary and this rot.
Time to go Mr Pascoe.

I find it strange the plan isn’t public. Most orgs tend to at least have an abridged version of a strat plan made public.
That's because as it was pointed out to me some time ago on the Forum that the huge majority of us aren't really members but season ticket holders.
I guess it's on a need to know basis and we don't need to know apparently.
How bad is it that we have to hear news from the media weeks before it's announced on the website or even worse member emails.
I love this club, I just wish we weren't treated like a commodity.

I also don't think Season Tickets should be called memberships.

Does it involve winning games?
Nah mate. We just ask businesses no one has heard of for money. Then they tell us they can only pay us $5 but we do a photo with Pascoe anyway and chuck it up on the socials. We use that money to sign discards, we want to make sure washed up duds don’t run out of money before they’re 50. But it’s not the duds fault or the CEO’s fault, it’s all on the coach and the halfback.

I would expect it to, I haven't seen it but have had conversations with the club about it. I have a fairly good idea about some of the directions that are included.

It is pretty simple to guess what the key directions in a football clubs Strategic Plan would be.

If I was to conduct a review into the club, the Strategic Plan, its implementation and its evaluation would be my starting point.
