Why bulk him up (at the cost of speed) to play back row when he's already a handful as is at centre? The kid still has a bit of growing to do, if that naturally pushes him to pack then fair enough, but as is he's proving an effective weapon on the edge, no need to push him further in field.

No one is talking about bulking him up. Fact is though, at 18 he's still growing and will develop more muscle over the next couple of years, so I'd find it highly unlikely that he'll maintain his weight of 106kg. He'll easily end up 110kg or more over the next couple of years going through the typical off-season training. The question will be whether he can maintain or improve his speed. If he can - fine, keep him in the centres, but looking at his frame, he's a big unit, I personally feel he'll end up in the backrow.

Thats right Willow, no one has said to bulk him up, and in reply to Supercoach, no one has said they "want" him moved to the backrow. The thread is about what he appears likely to be suited to. Of course we would all love him to be the next Mal Meninga and stay outwide. Unlikely though.

I know everyone was very impressed with him last night. Good solo try against a great defensive team.

But what has impressed me is his ability to learn. He got beaten last night when Williams scored but I have no doubt he will learn from it. In his first few games this year, he had a few errors in the ruck. Mainly from loose carries with the ball falling out after work by the defender. However, Suli is noticeably now holding onto the ball very highly as he gets to his feet.

Watching him over the last few weeks playing at Centre its very obvious he could easily become a edge backrower.

Once he matures and gains greater concentration, I'd say that is a logical choice!

nah, leave him there
He could be the next TT - TANK

Great under the high ball..

Yeh I want him staying out in the backline for as long as he can. His hitups early in sets as we work it out are invaluable.

I think the furore over Woods, Tedesco and Moses is detracting from one of our brightest moments this season. Let's hope our talent scouts are scouring junior districts for more talent.

Reckon he and Milne will make a great centre combination.

Both big strong running centres which we haven't had since I carnt remember when

That is what I want to see

He's a weapon in the making at only 18\. His post contact metres are very impressive and I'm very interested to see how he develops on the field, and in the gym over the next couple of years because I reckon his playing weight will easily end up being 110kg or more. The big question will be how much speed does he retain? I think backrow looks more likely at this stage but time will tell.

This is the bit that has impressed me the most

why are people so eager to turn people into back rowers?

If he's a gun centre (which he is), lets just keep him at centre?

Again proved the rapid progress Suli has made since his debut…getting better and more confident...

I wouldn't be moving him from the centres at all....

Does anyone think he could play fullback? Big and strong, an off season to get some miles into his legs
