Taane Milne

His bus stop is getting closer.

Well said Willow. Maybe an earlier release before June to free up money and another bus seat.

Now WT are performing well there may be a few disgruntled players from other clubs willing to now consider a seat on the bus which previously they did not consider.

Winner are grinners

So if Kev or Marsters gets injured, who plays center? Fonua? He doesn't really strike me as a specialist center. Noff? Again, not a center. MWZ? Possibly, but he isn't even that much on the wing. MCK? I really don't want to see the BEAST moved from the forwards, though it is an option if we're in real need.

That leaves Rowdy or Gamble(if he can even play center).

The point is Milne's attitude is not up to standard. He's not listed as injured and isn't even in the ISP side this week, again. That to me says it all really.

Sounds like a Suli 2.0 but I guess time will tell with Ivan not afraid to make big calls on players not showing up.

No real solid information to go on yet but its worrying after his form in the world cup.

Not good for our centre stocks… if this is true we need to get in the market for one or upgrade.

Lucas Price, Gamble or Garner could be worth a look at if we needed to move a player in for injury from ISP, but 2 of those would need an upgraded contract.

I'm not talking about Milne tho. I'm talking about our depth. With Milne looking very unlikely to be available to fill in at center, who will when we get injuries? Do we go to the market and try to find another backup center?

I'd like to see Gamble given a go at centre in ISP. I'm not sure who would fill in at 5/8 though.

Fonua can back up at centre.

For short term solutions:
Lawrence
MWZ (Bring in Noffa to wing)
Chee Kam

How many back up centres do you want in the team? We are covered there.

Lawrence would be a disaster in the centres he has poor lateral movement, that is why JT moved him.

Apparently moga is out for the Knights. Could be a possible destination. Speculation only.
If he left does anyone know how long before his roster position would need to be filled.

I assume it would be another exemption just like how with have Manly Siro in our 30 as an exemption this year.

Unsure if we still need him on our books.. maybe we could just pay him $1

Well not Milne on his current form …

Moga is quite possibly done for his career. I think that's the 4th time he's done an ACL.

They've signed Jesse Ramien as a centre for next year already but I suppose they might want someone for the rest of 2018 and for depth. The Roosters would be another possibility, their back line depth is being tested and they have cash available.

I'm not sure if he can play centre but I'd like to see Garner get a seat on the bus. I dont think he is in the top 30 (yet)

Fonua played a combination centre/winger in the UK, swapping positions between attack and defence. Maybe he could do similar with MWZ.

You are right Tacky, our centre stocks are very low, we have started great, but we don't want to waste that great start with Rowdy, McQueen or any other player out of position in the centres for our NRL team, if Milne is off as bad as it looks, then we need to move now.

He has played some centre. He would benefit greatly becoming a full time footballer. Hodgo has a massive wrap on him. I think he will be upgraded to an NRL contract if Milne is released.

With 2 spaces already available on the roster and potentially a 3rd you'd hope IC has 1 if not 2 centres in his sights to be signed over the coming months.
