To be honest, how don't know how to respond to this post. It is so far wide of the mark.

All I want to do is watch a winning football team, everything else you have made up.in your head.

Be aware the Liquor and Gaming investigations follow from the suspended board members, investigations began 1 week or so prior petition.

Either way, the petition is irrelevant regarding their investigations.
We don’t care what the impetus was we just want to see good governance practices implemented at both Wests Tigers and HBG.

I’m pretty sure the many of the others who signed the petition share my sentiments but I think it’s a great thing Liquor and Gaming are involved and investigating regardless of whether they investigated pre-petition or not.

Both Balmain and Magpies died as NRL/First grade sides in 1999.

Keep clinging to the past.

It’s time for everyone to accept that, move on from the bs factional infighting and embrace the Wests Tigers.

Anyone hoping to see either Balmain or the Magpies in the NRL again truly has rocks in their head and should just go support their side in the junior grades or someone else entirely.

Don’t try to destroy the Wests Tigers because of some attachment issues to two long-dead clubs.

The governance at both entities is legal.

Regardless the outcomes of Liquor and Gaming investigations re suspended directors it's unlikely they can force HBG to change their constitution without the express approval of the general members of HBG in keeping with the clubs current constitution unless in the unlikely event massive improprieties are discovered without an ACT of parliament which of course will affect all clubs.

You will find Clayton Utz lawyers normally for HBG.

And after years of failure, nepotism and infighting within their own governance structure exposing the antiquated and unprofessional standards this club operates under legal or not gives good reason to expose it for what it is and those protected by it, and gather support for change to meet the standards required to govern an elite sporting organisation - something this club has lacked since it's inception

Being a good man doesn't necessarily mean he is a good director for a professional sports organisation.

He has been a wonderful servant for the Magpies, but he has also been part of the executive and board who has constantly been operating for the survival of Western Suburbs Magpies - from Lidcombe to Orana, from the ARL to the NRL. It's not unlike George Piggins at Souths - and Wayde and Co have had the backing of a strong Leagues club all this time.

You can't keep running things the same way. Once new ideas came to Souths, they improved. HBG are a closed system of philosophies, ideas, methods, etc. They only admit their own and for most of its existence, this perpetuated group think.

You and others are entitled to your views on whether Wayde is suitable to be a director at WT today.

But your understanding of historical events is inaccurate and your analogy to Piggins not fitting.

Wayde was appointed CEO at Wests around June 1984 in the midst of the clubs battle against the NSWRL. He inherited that battle.

Most importantly, Wests Ashfield weren't a significant contributor at the time and the football club estranged somewhat from WA.

Wests Ashfield were not a strong backer of the football club at the time....Wayde was instrumental in unifying the structure and creating the bridge with the club at Campbelltown (similar to today's HBG).

Around 86, Wayde had found private owners for Wests, which obviously would've made tnem a successful entity........but this was refused by the NSWRL on the grounds that the competition wasn't ready for private ownership whilst they allowed Brisbane's bid a year later.

Following the forced relocation to Orana Park and the 4 year running battle with league which ended in the High Court the exhausted administration of Wests had a falling out with Wayde (with the Scott Tronc affair) and Wayde moved to Souths as Marketing CEO reporting to Terry Parker for a few years from 87 till about 90.

He is also one of the chief architects of the HBG unifying structure.

Firstly free speech and disagreement is welcome here.

Cochineal isn't our leader but he's well.respected and fair.

The HBG is a scam and these guys are not the best and brightest in their fields.

That are just milking wests ashfield and the tigers.

This doesn't make our club stronger.

It has to change

So you say but having a quick read of a document from clubs nsw called … club governance code of practice , in the section of legal obligations

7. We are committed to promoting fair and democratic elections and maximising member involvement by adhering to relevant law and following appropriate procedures for the conduct of club elections .

Fair and democratic for 18 people who paid $100 to have more say than 27;000 ?
And even how to get in to the 18

Good governance is balmainianising it?! Man i wish that balmain had it. WT would be a powerhouse with the duel funding. But they made some horrendous decisions.

Honestly though, 1 owner i think sets us up better for success... taking a club? It's 25 years and most have embraced all pillars of WT. Ashfield is a very big one for our club. I used to be a member when I lived in Rozelle. .

The Magpies/Balmain thing is so god damn tiring... Why do you still think like this? Seriously, why?
Paranoia

I never said the petition was an instigating factor… only that if they’re not worried about Liquor and Gaming putting them under the microscope they should be.
Hard to believe it never happened sooner.
