Tallyn Da Silva #270

TDS getting mentioned in every thread because of the return of the body language experts. Will he wont he etc... if he wants to stay theres a spot for him. His mate is going elsewhere, so what these guys know that's normal. Doubt many pros base decisions on things like that.

Hope he gets more minutes, he is looking good this year.

He is so young - he looks good in attack but we get weaker defensively in the middle when he’s on.

I don’t think he’ll necessarily go cause Galvin is going. What’s he going to do; go to Parra and learn off Temu Reed Mahoney?

I’d prefer he stays, but if we can’t wait till he’s 21 to be a starter then he should go. We have Jared Haywood coming up right behind him and Richo and Benji would be aware of this.

Quoted saying he didn't think he was ready to be a starter yet. Might be a lad who realises how lucky he is to have Api and Luai transitioning him into FG instead of thinking he has got it all already
Yes, I think so too but you never know when money and promises come from other clubs.

I believe he is not ready to play big minutes in one of the most demanding roles in the NRL. He knows this as well and is learning off Koroisau. Marshall is protecting his development by inserting him into the game at the best time for him. I applaud Marshall for this as it would be easy to overplay him.

He’s probably conflicted . His dad is apparently a good old head , understand the game , and is a legend at Campbelltown .
It there’s no doubt in my mind there would be other clubs , agents, hangers-on who would be filling his head with nonsense like “ the club will never pick you over Api. You’re better than Api right now . At our club we would treat you like the star you are . If I was your agent , I wouldn’t let you come off the bench …””Bla bla bla! There’s blood in the water with Galvin , so the sharks are circling to see if there’s anything else they can gobble up.
All I will say is at dummy half , unless your last name is smith , and you wore a purple jersey for most of your career , you’re not even going to be get anywhere near where you need to be until you’re 2/23 at the earliest . And you won’t leak until you’re 25/26 .
So if you can pick the brain of a hall of famer like Api , who can take all the heat off you , so all you have to do is come on and run circles around tired defenders for a couple of years . You’d be mental not to !
Who are you learning off at the eels ? In fact when was the last eels dummy half to actually be any good ? Api has maybe 2 years after this one left . My guess is, is he will sign a 2 year deal with the bears for 27/28 , and come back here as an assistant coach in 29 .
TDS will get everything he wants , and hopefully next year , he’s the one getting most of the game time and api is the one spending a lot of time on the bench . It will be a natural progression of which will hold him in good stead for the rest of his career .

I agree Paws but should be be playing a few full games in Reggie’s as well? 15-20 minutes a week doesn’t get the miles into the legs either.

I would think Marshall would have sat down with him and explained his plan for his development. Gould and co aren't the only coaches who can develop players. I cite Toa as a outstanding case of a player improving due to improvements in player roster, team harmony and development. Da Silva comes across as a hunble and level headed young man. He would know serving his apprenticeship under Koroisau and training/playing NRL is best for his development.

TDS comes from great parents who know their football, they would not let hangers on like get in their son's head. From what i was told there is a disconnect from what was promised and has eventuated. And it does not help when past people who worked in the football club are actively trying to pinch the kids to go to other clubs.

If TDS goes the long term replacement to Api is Jared Haywood. Very clever player.

Watch the Arrive Alive cup final 2023 where Galvins team wins. Haywood was playing for PBB and knocks the ball out of Galvins hands when he was putting ball down over line. Hes a year or 2 younger than TDS and Australian Schoolboy. Shame to lose TDS but we have backup.

I personally don’t think TDS ready to start in first grade and I think his agent might go against him - tigers may look to reduce power Moses has in our club.

Has he earnt anything with his performances so far?

manly , what club. TDS hukkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
you blew my mid Bula ,so many words. your the them on a 1 line joke

So much to read through in the other threads for obvious reasons, has there been any update on this guy? I seen a rumour on Facebook that manly were after him if Croker retires this season (doesn’t make much sense to me). Otherwise Dogs will surely be having a play since they are suddenly trying hard to offload Mahoney after the Galvin links started?

With the Bulldogs snatching Galvin and telling Mahoney that he is free to negotiate leaves me to believe Gus has for at least the last season & a half to pry Galvin & DaSilva from Wests Tigers.

I think Gould has Isaac Moses number on speed dial. I'd love to see the Tigers get payback and poach a couple of future stars from Gould & Co.

I believe the Tigers without Galvin are a better side, he hogs the ball and makes some terrible decisions, not quite first grade quality. Unfortunately Da Silva is a different kettle of fish and would be a far worse loss than that of Galvin. I sincerely hope Galvin doesn't impress and ends up playing for the Dogs Reggies and causes that club some dramas & instability.

Curran is yet to be re signed by the Dogs, maybe WT should snatch him in retaliation. WT have enough $ in the Kitty to offer him a deal that's hard to refuse.

The NRL though is letting crap like the Galvin poaching & Dylan Brown saga happen which is a big turn off for fans & not a good look for the NRL. The signing of Luai, Suruva, May & Skelton shows that players WILL sign for the club and players/player managers know the WT are on the up. WT need to buy/develop another prop, two seconds rowers and a centre or two. Curran would be a good start.

Where are the signings that Richo was declaring would be announced "in a few weeks" nearly a month back now?
The only signing has been Galvin......by the Bulldogs!! 😡🤬
