Taupau

I had to find a new favourite player thanks to Robbie's antics this season so I am announcing that it will be Marty Taupau…. :sign:

Toss up between Tapau and Teddy. Both are absolute guns and great guys

Happy,I reckon he should be in the starting lineup, only because he could make an impact straight away and as you say off the bench he is great but I still think he could do damage early on and he is improving heaps…

I think he does deserve a starting jumper,he works hard and you don't know till you try....

Well said . Great post goldcoast tiger. **Why single Robbie out ?** The whole team was terrible even with Inglis and Cherry on. Everyone in that team played a part in lossing the game. Back on track Martin and Blair were awsome for the Kiwis. Well done boys.

Why single Farah out? Maybe because he's a tiger's player and we are tigers fans on the tigers forum? Do you think I give a stuff that Walker was terrible?
The same reason you singled out good games from Tapau and Blair for the kiwis but not Johnson. We're interested in the form of our players, no-one else.

AS others have said Tapau is unbelievable. He needs a starting spot.

It's the venom behind the critisism that i don't agree with. Some on here can sure dig the boot in :blah

Sorry Tigermama but Gallagher is right with this one.
No need to apologise to me Jerry. You boys are entitled to your opinion.

Taupau is brilliant off the bench

Why would we use him differently ??

Agree. We need his impact to keep us rolling forward when Woods has a breather. Start with Woods and Ava, with Taupau and Lodge off the bench.

Willow, point taken re Tapau off the bench,it's good to have a player of Martys calibre in our team, wether off the bench or in the starting side…..

He has been a great buy......

Watching him tonight I just can't see why people want him off the bench up front. Yes I know he is playing front row tonight but look at the things he is doing. This guy is ready to explode as a ball playing/menacing back rower. You can see how switched on he is mentally…and physically the guy is a machine.

Don't forget he caught a winger.....His athleticism is exactly what we need. This is the world class back rower we are looking for. .I have no doubt he is wasted as a front rower.

He has potential as yet to be fully utilised by Wests Tigers.

How was he supposed to reach his potential when Potter was playing him 20 minutes a game. NZ put him on for a 20 minute spell before halftime and he carves up an International forward pack. He is an absolute beast. Love him.

Taupau needs to start IMO , what's the point bringing him on after 20 minutes when were usually down by 12-20 points . Doesn't make sense to me having one of your best forwards wrapped in a blanket on the sidelines .

I missed it Geo what happened ? or what you suspect is wrong with him?

It was a nothing hit up and tackle he stayed down they brought out a neck brace and stretched him off….he gave the thumps up so hopefully it's nothing to serious

Rabs just said he felt pins and needles in his arms...off for scans...

I hope that he is okay, especially after complaining of pins and needles.

Apart from during our rut late this season post wobbiegate, when a local A grade would have been competitive, I think you are off the mark.

I love the impact Martin offers in attack when he comes on (which is always suited off the bench), but I would say that we probably leak more when he is on the field

Yeah Taupau leaks heaps of point defending at centre …

Remember thinking the same thing with Simon Dwyer

Hope he is ok , he was one of the best on the field along with Johnson and SKD
