well when Jason taylor got the job as coach I for one was not convinced he would be the right man for the job. Then all the players that left and we never went into the market to buy people I thought we would be a basket case for 2015 we win our 1st 2 games again not sold but after yesterday against souths we didn't win but showed that taylor is on the right track .after 3 games taylor has done a mighty job pulling our team which was in disarray 1/2 way through last year to really play well against the top side in the comp. congratulations Jason keep it up

I was really excited when JT got the coaching job.

His knowledge of the game and discipline was always going to be a positive to our young squad.

Yesterdays loss was a very respectable loss. Our execution let us down but the manner in which we took on the Premiers shows that with more time we will be a very competitive side.

One area I would like to see us improve is the halves….throwing too many hospital passes ATM when they should play whats in front of them and take the line on more. I thought in this area we became a little too predictable yesterday.

But they will learn and we have to take into account that these guys are still very young and need more experience.

JT was a quality half....I am sure his knowledge will be invaluable to both as the season unfolds. There is a big step up from Toyota Cup.....BE PATIENT.

Marshall was not a world beater either in his first year.

Taylor has taken the team right back to basics, at present he is keeping it very simple and concentrating on the defense, if and when this team has some attack they will be a top six side or better and Taylor needs a lot of credit for what he has achieved in a few months

a HUGE improvement.

Yesterday showed it.

We'll be in the 8 for sure!

No question about. The improvement this year is trumps on the past few years. Even in the first few games only you can tell the difference. A team needs to be strong up front, foremost. If forwards are not doing their job, back cant do theirs. As littletiger says, the forwards have got the memo and are doing a bloody great job. It wont be long before the backs start to gel and start putting is as the forwards are doing.

Jason Talyor is the no.1 reason for this. what he has done for the wests tigers in a couple of trials and only 3 games is remarkable considering where we were before the season started. he's hasnt bought any new players into the squad, but we've lost some good seniors (and dead wood). That in itself is a major feat to accomplish a positive transisition into. There's an attitude in the club that I havent seen in a long time. We had it after the souths game last year, but it quickly died off. That seems to be back.

Its round 3 and we are 2 from 3\. yesterday was our biggest test hands down, and I think we did an outstanding job against the worlds best team. Dogs this week, which is probably a true pressue tests. We were never expected to win against souths, expectations are there this week. Be interesteing to see how we shape up and more importantly if we lose, how we pick ourselves up from that.

I was a fence sitter when we signed JT up. I'll admit that. But I've jumped the fence and am now happily playing in his yard.

Taylor only coached about nine games with Parra, but he got their structure going and they made the finals. Souths hadn't been in the finals for a long time, before Taylor arrived. He has our defence looking good . We had a few missed tackles but there were plenty of bodies around to plug the holes. i loved Brook's hit on Glen Steward.
Is Noddy helping the halves at all? or is he purely with the 20's squad.

Taylor understands that to win games you need solid defence and structured attack,he has got the defence pumping well…only needs the backline to fire up and we will towel up whoever they put in front of us...early days my friends but he has things right on track...

Very happy to have JT with us and being able to do what he wants and needs without hands tied is showing good results...

Definitely taking the team in the right direction. We're getting into the grind instead of playing side to side and trying to attack our way out of trouble. The defence seems to be much improved, we just need the execution in attack to click and we'll give most sides a run for their money IMO.

Hopefully >When… Not >IF< Our attack improves SC

Panthers missed 50 tackles tonight, roosters 35.

We missed 25 yesterday, same as souths. Still a long way to go but our defence is really improving. Hope it keeps getting better.

Think we are 1st or 2nd for missed tackles so far this year. And I think it all comes down to attitude. JT has instilled a real belief and comradare (however you spell it) amongst the team and it's great to see.

I'm sure he'll be working very closely with the halves and experience will pay dividends with them.

Missed tackles don't equate to tries. We missed 31 against the Stains and not one contributed to a try or line break.

The team as a unit have been defending exceptionally compared to years gone by. It is very pleasing to see.

I think Taylor has WT on the right track. The Souths game demonstrated commitment and drive. We were in it to the end which is all most of us asked against the reigning premiers. Taylor's a winner for mine.

The test for Taylor and the team will be when we start missing a few players, especially the likes of Woods and Farah. Remember this time last year we smashed both Souths and Manly and were the talk of the town. I like what I see but I want to see how we are traveling after 12 weeks when the grind starts to take its toll
