Team for Foundation Cup

Interesting to see Fitzhenry there and Fulton at lock! I like the overall look of the side but really hope Arana gets his chance at some stage soon. He is an X factor…

Sheens probably has 2 spots still open. The Roosters have named 21, us only 19.

The roosters might be dropping 2\. But I think it's more likely that we will name 2 more, like last year.

Last year I think Ayshford and Lazarus got a run at the end of the game with numbers like #22 and #23 on their back. A few more will get a run than those named.

if so we will probably bring in gibbs and fifita

I figured Fulton would be in the 17, I didn't think he'd start in the second row and Heighno at lock though. Pretty sure Tupou's knee isn't right yet.

I wouldn't be too worried about some players not being named in this trial. Don't forget the Tigers play the Sharks a week later up at Gosford, so guys like Taumata, Lazarus and Fifita may get a run there in a final chance to impress. Good to see Cayless, Flanagan and Moors on the bench.

I reckon there will be a couple of smokies running out for the warm up. Maybe Fifita and Mataka, or Dywer (surprised he wasn't named). Aaron Woods still hasn't played in a trial yet either to my knowledge.

I thought Pritchard, Mataka, Topou, Taumata, Akeripa and Mullaney might have gotten a run aswell.

Must be footy season.

Not too many surprises. As has been pointed out it probably isn't too far off what our Round one team will be. Unfortunate that Taumata isn't named.

Glad to see the Fitzhenry prank is still going strong. It gives me a laugh every time 'Daniel Fitzhenry' gets listed as being part of this year's team. Oh, those WT jokesters…

 This player…. that player did/didn't get picked.....

Sheens is in for a looooooong season........

Plenty of positive in this trial side.....as has been mentioned others will be added.....

With some of the big boppas we have this year i'm surprised to see Fulton in the 2nd row - has he built up that much?- Personally i would like to see him on the bench and groomed as a backup to Robbie and get Fitzy back to the reggies.

Didnt look bigger on TV.

We need a takling maching like David Stagg. The Big guys are on the bench when the apponent get tired.

lets just wait and see, how the team performs.
there are no two points on offer.
will take a while to find right combo.
hopefuly not as long as last year when benji & tim were in the halves !!!!!!

Personally I'd like to see some of the senior players get dropped for under-performing at some stage (if they do obviously). The likes of Payten, Fulton, Heighington need to feel threatened.

Shouldn't that apply to the whole team….Farah, Marshall, Lawrence. Galloway etc...
