TEAM LIST Team vs Storm [Round 10]

Team List
Looking forward to an improved effort, Herbert is normally pretty reliable in defense and Mason should add more spark in attack than Turuva. Sadly though I have already chalked this up as a loss and next week as well, until we get our full cattle back we are a bottom four side.

Multi this week

dolphins 1.47
roosters 1.11
cowboys 1.34
newcastle 1.36
total $2.95

Also
took manly to beat brisbane at $1.70

Tigers to beat melbourne at $2.35

Couldn't jahrome hughes wait 1 more week to play oh of course it had to be against the tigers like every other good player that always returns from injury against us
😡 😠 😤 🤣
I really don't get this mentality - If we really are a changed side that wants to make the finals it shouldn't matter who's in the opposition team and what their form is like.

We should relish the challenge of playing last year's grand finalists.

Sure we have players out but Melbourne have lost 7 in a row, are we seriously crying because they are getting players back that are seriously out of form.....

Plenty of teams deal with injuries and whislt we have some key players out we should really be confident of going down there and getting the job done given their form.

If we can't what's the point of making the finals we would just be making up the numbers if we can't beat an out of form storm .....

We will play them back into form
🤣😂🤣😂🤣

Of course, Hughes is back after 7 loses so it will be a massive task and he will be peppering high balls all night. Fingers crossed

Heck, Mason is going to get bombed so much he's going to wish is was in Beirut
I don't really recall Munster or Hughes ever putting up any floating or spiral bombs. I'm becoming less concerned about Mason at the back than Herbert/Madden and Fainu being targeted in defence and Warbrick being a kick target against Laulilii.

My worry is if the storm click for the first time this year it won’t win by 4 or 6 it will be a shock result like storm finally come good with a thumping victory over ? Who are a top 6 team now , hay there back , I prey it isn’t this week , we need to come out all fired up and smash them in the middle and Luai needs to rag doll both there 6 and 7 , and take Harry out early ( legally of course ) Huges just hurt him early he goes out

melbourne are.missing katoa and kamikamicka up front.
Hold the ball and play.it through the middle tigers should be fine
we need luai to have a man of the match performance this week
That’s what I’m thinking if our big bloopers can smash into mighty boy an co, even Mason will look good.

Completely agree. I think it is a losing mentality. When you then consider how many teams we've come up against that were missing key players or lost players mid game we've probably already had more than our fair share of good luck for the season.

Sharks not key but a centre and both wingers.
Raiders a front row a 2nd row and winger. Then lost their 6 and other back rower during the game.
Broncos fullback, lock and like 3 hooker options. Then lost their best front rower mid game.
Knights fullback, halfback, centre.
Eels fullback and centre then 4 backline injuries during the game.
Warriors. Only a fullback and an edge. Arguably we were assisted by their out of form 6 returning to the side.
Rabbitohs. Probably no one key but their first choice hooker, halfback and a back rower.
Cowboys. Only a back row and lock. Plus their fullback carrying a significant rib injury.

Now every team is always going to have injuries at any given time. So I think you could put a similar case forward for all sides. And of course we have had a player or two missing along the way as well. I just think we've had a better run than most with who is missing against us. The woe is me defeatist attitude of a player returning is a bit much.

Positional play is also very important for Mason. He will be tested to the max.
A lot of pressure on the guy coming from a poor record at fullback. Thousands of eyes on his every move, waiting to get on the forum and say "Benji, what were you thinking"
Bellamy will have Hughes and Munster testing him on the chip kicks behind the play. Plus, the bombs.
I can only image a disaster as they dismantle him mentally. I don't expect him there the following week.
Our pack needs to excel, a bit of luck and the rub of the green to give us a chance.
As they say-----hope I'm wrong!

Adam Gee as ref. Happy with that. Probably best ref in the comp. Was good last time we had him. I was having nightmares we would get Todd Smith again.

I’m reading a lot of nervous posts, doom and gloom before the kick off. Yes we had a shocker last week but there has been change in personnel going into next game.
I think we should give the Benji more credit and trust the systems and standards they have been working on.
