1\. James Tedesco
Showed enough in 80 minutes to suggest the No.1 jersey will be his for many years to come. It was his supporting break that paved the way for Michael Jennings' match winning-try. Tedesco made more metres than any other player with 258 and looked lethal whenever he got the ball in space. Supported his forwards through the middle and created several half-chances on the fringes with his speed. 8.5/10
Herald rated him an 8 - highest rating NSW player. Does that make him the best NSW player on the night?
I wouldn't have argued against that Gary
NSW weren't great despite the win
To take 79 plus minutes to win with the possession advantage they had , proves they weren't great
If the possession flow had been reversed , imagine the carnage
It's a strange situation , Game 1 I thought NSW were the better side and even at the stages of Game 2 NSW looked the better side and lost both
Game 3 NSW look rudderless at time with a massive possession advantage yet get the win
Agree Happy…...I am sad to say it and I do not want to be guilty of Farah bashing, because his defensive game is so strong.....but there is no zip anymore, his passing is slow, not always accurate and predictable, anyway D/h is where it all starts from and that is one of the reasons NSW attack last night was so poor. They did not play direct enough and often just swung it wide on a wing and prayer.
Moylan will be a great no6 or 7 with a few more games under his belt and Maloney was good without being brilliant, but as you said happy if QLD had as much ball they would have racked up 50
