Tedesco playing for City

Well thats embarrassing. Even Fittler, the Part time coach can see that Reddy is a centre and Teddy is a fullback!!

It's not about seeing it, league is a complicated affair. Potter can't just march in axe Lawrence, Moltz and Blair after 1 or 2 games as a new coach. Injuries will, and have, taken their toll and I think now he can shift players according to form with this 2 week break. Likely to see Teddy at 1 and Moltz at 5 or 6 depending on injuries in the halves. And a similar thing applies to Lawrence. Reddy wouldnt be in our starting side if Koro was not injured but Lawrence and Aysh can't play wing any better than Reddy in our team. Plus reddy is good under the high ball.

Very different in a City side, there i'm sure these issues are not present there.

Reddy is not quick enough for wing and should not be considered a winger in first grade. He knows how to position himself well and is playing fantastically. - Obviously having played centre before there is a lot of communication between centre and winger and this helped.

Im not trying to just shrug off your suggestion pHyR3 but I cannot understand why you cant justify putting Lawry in NSW cup? Jennings and Sandow played time there last year and they were bigger marquee signings than Lawrance.

I hope that Reddy and Teddy play to there potential and hold down there natural positions.

Lawrance is a great player, I believe he will be back. But why have competition for spots and then when a player is in great form, we don't make any use of it?

On the other side of the coin how can the selection of Lawrence be justified?

….One mans second or third choice winger in a very poor side
is another mans starting fullback in a rep side.
I can't help but wonder if Farah and Woods have had anything to do with this???
Surely Farah would have some input, And if Farah rates him so Highly why the hell is he on the Wing for us??
Moltzen (Although he would be chosen for country) Must feel his days are numbered!!
Work on the high ball Moltz, Wing is your last option....

Not saying that in the least, would like for Lawrence to be put in Reserve grade this week or maybe before the dragons game would have been good. Just saying that Potter cant axe half the squad in round 2 or 3 with very short turnarounds.

I doubt I would have done anything different to potter so far except taken farah off vs eels as opposed to middle of manly match. On the forum, you can go on about how this person should be dropped but in reality it's hard to execute for a multitude of reasons.

Wow , congrats to the kid . Tigers can only benefit from the experience he will gain . This might be the message to Potter finally , TEDESCO AT FULLBACK.

i dont get it - all our players are getting selected.
But yet we're in the bottom 4.
What's that telling you?

It's telling me that nearly all NRL clubs are putting pressure on their players not to play in the City v Country match for fear of injuries which would detour the club's premiership hopes. Ask Jamie Lyon why he doesn't play in SOO but plays club NRL the same week. It is also telling me that this City v Country game is a complete farce and should be abandoned in future years. Good luck to all the Tiger boys who are getting a run but Wests Tigers seem to be the sacrificial lamb and If there is one club that cannot afford anymore injuries it is Wests Tigers.

Newtown has hit it on the head….Brooks will get a callup soon....This is pretty silly. Remember when you had to earn a rep jumper?

Thats one way of looking at it.
Wouldnt it however boost the morale of players selected?

That's right but that's not the way other clubs appear to be looking at it. Interesting that Hayne has withdrawn and his coach Stuart is a former rep coach.

Congratulations to him, Curtis and Joel Reddy. We all knew that Tedesco would be a rep player, maybe not this soon though. Hope he has a great game.

Yes Reddy is a centre, and a reserve grade centre at that. However due to poor planning and some bad luck with injuries, we honestly don't have anyone else to play on the wing.

Dafuq did we lose Beau Ryan? We could really use a good utility back this week.

Actually to give Reddy his due, he is starting to look good this season, even playing out of position. Didn't start well, but has looked a bit more like a first grader this week.

Reddy has also been called up and will play centre. They must have run out of players.

Better turn my phone on. I could be getting a call.

 Yeah it does seem kinda ridiculous doesn't it. Don't get me wrong I'm happy for the kid, but he hasn't even really impressed at NRL level yet and I'm sure there are quite a few more experienced fullbacks who could've been given a shot. And Reddy getting a call up? That defies belief - he can't even impress WT fans!

Its a real slap in the face for country people - i bought a ticket with the expectation of seeing Robbie, Woods, Lawrence Hayne etc and now i'm dished up with up and comers and fringe first graders - no discount on the ticket price - i won't fall for this again - scrap the game.
