TEVITA PANGAI JUNIOR AND JAMAYNE ISAAKO

Can understand going after Isaako but don’t think we need another forward. And he is a bit of a loose cannon too.

In situations like this, you ask if the player is better than who we currently have. Luke Garner is our current starting back rower. TPJ is a monumental step up from him.

Spot on... Garner would not be able to win you a game himself but TPJ certainly can..
Its a Yes for me and considering how Joe O has turned out after a change I don't see why this wouldn't work.

Yes, TPJ would be a huge leap over Garner. Massive if we get him.

We will be without Russell Packer next season and very big chance we'll be without Tamou, and Garner I believe was on the Manly's radar last season .. other players who might leaving .. Mbye, Roberts, Walters and BJ Leilua ?? .. so we'll have some coin in our kitty to be looking around.

I 100% get how Tevita Pangai Junior fits.
If we lock down James Tamou then build a pack around him it works...

Tevita is on the rise and teaming up again with Joe O works.

I don't get how Jamayne Isaako fits. Daine Laurie is our current Fullback and has been great this season. We don't have space for him at 1, at 5/8 (where we are overloaded), our Centers are cooked.
Look, I guess Isaako put up his hand. But why would you jump to us to play wing, I don't get it. Unless we need to punt Daine Laurie which makes no sense at all.

Daine is too small to play wing. He can develop as a Fullback, but having a short guy on the wing is not going to work. If we are punting Daine who has been one of the few highlights of the season then I am angry.

isaako to wing
why would they move a young potential gun fullback for a fill in fullback?

Can someone who rates him highly explain why?

I don't rate him highly but he kicks goals and is a decent winger/fullback option. We need outside backs.

The signing makes sense for us and maybe losing him is okay for the broncos. I'd prefer Xavier Coates or JAC but it might work.

I have seen all the Broncs games this year and I'm curious why you think he is a decent FB option? He has looked really poor there IMO.

Tons of bad reads on kicks...tacking success at 57% (lowest in the comp for a regular FB).

He might be okay on the wing, but that would give us two smallish wingers as he is basically the same build as Nofa.

I haven't seen many games but I think he is a decent option at winger/fullback. We really need outside backs. I get the signing dependent on how much we pay him.

I assume that the Tigers are looking for another option on the wing.

Isaako would leave our current wingers in his wake. He is fast, elusive , can kick goals , is young and improving, can fill in at FB, and probably centre. Whats not to like ? Or is it that we refuse to believe some of our backline are ordinary at best.

What I don't get is if both players are contracted until the end of next year, doesn't that mean that other clubs can't negotiate with contracted players unless they get permission?
