The way this year is going in the nRL might as well let the Panthers and Melbourne play the GF now and then let everyone have their own comp to crat some interest.
Never had such a lopsided competition..
Agree. Everyone is so obsessed with who is signing with who with out looking at the quality of the game. When a Roosters team-( granted weakened) but still with the likes of Teddy JWH Crichton Morris Manu Tupou etc gets smashed by 46 points to nil and not the first time this year - then there is a problem. Clubs can't continue to massive contracts for players to have it a two horse race.
It is the most lopsided comp I have ever seen in 54 years of watching rugby league. The changes over the last two years , the TPAs, and players wanting to play for winning teams due to there being no loyalty these days have led to this rubbish.
Agree.
Not many ways to fix it.
The one I think needs to happen is rewarding clubs for developing juniors.
I am not sure how it would work but the junior club should be discounted in the salary cap some how so the likes of Roosters or Souths don't just poach the good ones when they need them.. If you look though there teams they have poached the cream of the crop and not having to spend all this extra money on developing them unlike us or Panthers as an example.
