Didn't the Dogs new chairman (Landy) go over the top a month or so back? I can't remember the details as I didn't pay that much attention to it?

Lee heads a major law firm, I would think he is aware of negotiations and how they are done?

Lee doesn't give any context to what happened. He just said they "made a decision that that wasn't the direction they wanted to move". That could be in relation to cost-benefit ratio, to TPJ's manager's negotiation tactics, to the role TPJ wanted to play in the roster etc.

Anything could have happened to bring Tigers back to negotiations, if that is indeed what happened, which I don't believe has been corroborated by anyone at Tigers.

There is a fair point that we didn't sign TPJ. I would have liked him here but the dollars matter.

For the money he puts in he's made the club look stupid on multiple occasions and signed a complete nuffie to a 4 year extension. I'm not sure what he's tipping in every year but it would have to be stratospheric to make up for those shockers.
